I'm looking to raise Earth worms here. Any suggestions.

I used bagged castings when starting my bin. Mixed it coco coir and peat moss at a 1. 1. 1. Ratio. I then mixed in some torn up cardbord, moistened to field capacity and let it sit for a week. I then dropped in a couple dozen red wigglers from the bait store and the worms dug right in. None have tried to escape. I now feed them kitchen scraps as they need.

What do you feed the worms?

About how many cubic feet (or gallons) are in a 30 lb bag? looking to use them in containers, and want to do the math on how many bags i’ll need. tia

I don't know about cubic feet but the label on the bag indicates that to cover an area you 20 pounds per 100 square feet
