Love this unit on large video productions.

Output product to monitor was poor, and sound had buzz. Returned no problem with that.

Only supports specific framerates. Keep this in mind. Doesn't like interlaced signal at all and audio-wise only agrees with level B signal. If you've already got something like a decimator in your chain to scale your signal and make it level B, then you're going to be satisfied with this product. Otherwise, you may have trouble. You're probably going to be better off finding a way to go HDMI to RCA. 4 stars because it does work really well and the color is vibrant, but not supporting my native framerate or level A signal was some stressful troubleshooting. I just threw a decimator in my chain and now I'm very satisfied!

While this is sold as a scaler converter, it doesn't scale correctly or at all under some considerations. 1080p streams at 59.94Hz don't convert at all, 1080p streams at 29.97 convert and somewhat scale - but only display in black/white and are scaled incorrectly making the center of the image at about 66% down the screen cutting the bottom off entirely. It was completely unable to convert a 720x480 interlaced screen despite that being what actual AV/CVBS resolution is defined as. TLDR: If you are ok with converting 720p and not other resolutions it works, but if you want something else, look elsewhere.

I have four of these I had been using to extract audio from video to hook up to a mixer at my church. They seemed to work fine. But recently, I had a split-track video that had different audio on the left and right and was surprised to discover they were outputting the RIGHT audio to both audio outputs!! Again, I have 4 and they all behave the same. I am very disappointed. Guess I get what I paid for.

DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. WILL NOT CONVERT SDI TO AV.LUCKILY I'D BROUGHT ALONG A CHEAP HDMI TO AV CONVERTER THAT WORKED GREAT. IF YOU'RE DEPENDENT ON THIS TO CONVERT SIGNAL I STRONGLY ADVISE TESTING IT OUT WITH WHATEVER SOURCE YOULL BE RECEIVING OTHERWISE YOU'LL HAVE WASTED YOUR MONEY AND BE PANICKED TO FIX THE SIGNAL WITH ANOTHER DEVICE JUST LIKE I DID..UNFORTUNATELY MISSED RETURN WINDOW AS THIS THING WAS PUT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE ROAD CASE DURING THE LOADOUT.
