Yes they are dimmable. They come with current limiting resistors that seem to be sized for a 12v supply. Make sure you use a resistor even for testing at low voltage. I fried one with two AA batteries doing a quick test without the resistor. I use the supplied resistors and then reduce voltage at the source, but you could also adjust the brightness with a higher value resistor. Mine didn't come with instructions so it took me a bit to figure out I had to scrape the coating off of the leads before soldering. I assumed to solder would melt away the coating, but it didn't.
