My First Tractor: Stories of Farmers and Their First Love Paperback – August 8, 2010

Very well written and a joy to read. The writers (many different ones contributed) all have interesting and heartwarming stories to tell. In 1992, I bought my first tractor, a 1949 Ford 8N, but fell in love with tractors as a boy. This book brought back many fond memories. In retirement, I am active in a Maryland (Howard County) antique farm machinery club and its related farm heritiage museum program. I'm going to show and tell them about this book at the next meeting.Doug

If you enjoy farm tractors like I do you'll want a copy of this book. Once you open it up...you'll find it difficult to put down. There are stories about restoring tractors, farming with them, fixing them, but most of all loving them and the memories they conger up of times that were special from a simpler time that will never come again. I'm proud to be one of the 25 authors whose stories were selected and published in this book.

Great book , especially if you have a farm background. Really brought back memories and am so sorry the younger generation of today don't have the opportunities I or my children had to appreciate the farm way of life.

gift for son. I read bits and pieces when I got it. I think it would be something that my Dad would like too. Nice read

Purchased as a gift. Recipient loved it.

I received it awhile ago but didn't take time to say so here, and I like farm stories very much.

It did not go back in the history and development and coming of the tractor to farming as I had hoped.
