Really good product.
Been looking a various record cleaners over the last few weeks and landed on this one purely based on the issues with the Disco Antistat cleaning solution. It works really well as you can see from the photos, had no problem getting rid of the fingerprints on the record, and left it looking brand new. The excess solution is easily wiped off with the supplied cloths, any that is left behind just evaporated off. Another advantage of this product is the label on the record will not get wet due to the small amount of liquid used. The record went from unplayable to sounding like new. The product itself seems really well built, simple to set up and use. The advice I would give when applying the cleaning solution to the pads is have one of them sticking out of the top of the cleaner, apply the solution to that pad as you slowly push it into the housing, this will allow an even distribution of the solution.

Cleaning kit
Excellent value for the money has improved the quality of some of my old vinyl that had been sat in the garage only problem I have had is the removal of the cleaning felt is a bit tight

Brilliant does what it says, well worth the money
This cleaner arrived today and already been put to good use. I have some second hand records bought from a record fayre and although i have cleaned them i used this cleaner. Firstly after reading other reviews and knowing about this type of product i know that it is best to fill the reservoir up to the top with demineralized water. (I use the water from my dehumidifier) This allows the record to get saturated loosening the dirt trapped in the grooves. After all it is hard to brush dried on dirt off any material. I rotated the record more than three times each way and left to soak and repeated. This cleaned the record more than sufficiently. Wiping the record with a micro fibre cloth (supplied) works well also, however at this point i have another trick i use a Karcher window vacuum to suck up the excess water and dirt. The blades of these type of vacuums are very soft rubber squeegee type. I keep an new blade just for record cleaning. I played records again and 99% of background noise has disappeared. I would recommend this product especially at the price on Amazon.

Works effectively
Works as it should but still relies on physical effort. Effective when discs are not too dirty but most of mine required several passes or additional cleaning away from the machine. Fairly basic construction, could do with some means to rotate the discs maybe a handle?

It works!
I recently got back into LP’s and have been building a collection from the 70’s and 80’s for my entry level audiophile kit. Whilst I could enjoy many of the records, the noise was often distracting. As an example, I have a 1981 Elkie Brookes and a 1971 Peter, Paul and Mary. I filled the reservoir with deionised water, ran them through without the brushes a few times and then followed the instructions with the brushes and water still in the reservoir, and, hey presto. Elkie played with almost no noise at all, but PPM needed a second bath, and I would say an overall improvement of 80% noise reduction. There is the odd crackle, but the records are a pleasure to listen to, with a far superior sound to my cd’s or streaming. NB: It is a faff, but it is affordable. Keep your hands to the side to stop the rollers popping out and get some full-size lint free clothes if you plan on doing more than one at a time. Follow up: I bought two records of EBay, supposedly mint, and they were terrible. The cleaner didn’t bring them back to mint, but now they are enjoyable.

Genuine honest review
I bought this cleaner a bit tongue in cheek to be honest,i have just put together a decent amp, deck and speakers and going back to vinyl a lot of which i am obviously buying used ,played some l;ast week and quite crackly and yes i fitted a new stylus, this thing actually works brilliantly, you can see on the cleaning pads all the dirt it cleans off the disc, its a great item

Works reasonably well, but don't expect miracles.
I ordered one of these because it was less than half the price of the alternative device that has been available for some time. I don't have hundreds of filthy old records, just a few relatively new ones that have somehow developed pops and clicks over a couple of years which can't be removed with a cloth and spray. This is a very simple device; obviously you have to rotate the record manually as it is held tightly between a pair of cleaning pads. Some non-alcoholic cleaning solution is provided and you can either wet the pads with that or fill the tank with deionised water plus a few drops of the solution then manually rotate the record a few times in each direction. Then dry with a suitable cloth. The pads are held very tightly against the record surface so presumably works by mechanically dislodging contaminants in the grooves which may have also been loosened by the liquid. So, does it work better than just using a micro-fibre cloth? Yes, in my experience. Does it instantly return records to an 'as new' condition? No, some records need several treatments, and even then a very few clicks might remain. I was especially trying to clear noise from the lead-in at the very start of some records. First attempts with just the supplied solution wetting the pads didn't have much effect, but filling the tank with water plus a few drops of the supplied cleaning solution, after a few goes, I got the records into what is an acceptable state for me. I'm pleased with this - at this price, it only needs to rescue a few records to pay for itself.

dont bother
This is absolutely useless. The pads are no where near good enough to clean a record groove. All it does is superficially polishes the surface which anyone could do with a micro fibre cloth. A true record cleaner needs to get into the grooves to remove the particles causing the surface noises. This just isnt good enough. Really dont bother wasting your money on it.
