I had just gotten this in the mail today, and I used those words of sympathy to those who have been affected by the shootings in Las Vegas that have just happened; I hope the words that I have chosen from the book would help those people in this trying time. This book is wonderful, I would recommend this to anybody who needs to find the right words for any special occasion.-JW

Having purchased many similar books, I wasn't sure if this would be more of the same. But I was pleasantly surprised when I read it. It was definitely different from other books, in the fact that it actually gave me some fresh new ways of writing letters. And it was very specific. I wouldn't necessarily write things exactly as the author did, but it helps to give you different ideas in how to say something. It's a great addition to my collection and I would definitely recommend it!

This (very) little book contains ideas for personalizing cards for 30 occasions. The categories run the gamut from frequent occasions such as birthdays or thank you notes, to the rarer events like retirements and new homes. Each occasion has a page or two of short sentences to help you express your sentiments.This book will not really help you write longer notes, or letters; but it is perfect for adding something personal to a ready-made greeting card. The last 40 or so pages are devoted to space for you to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas/ Hanukkah/ Kwanzaa card lists. Without those pages, this would be more of a pamphlet than a book. I would have preferred more content instead of space for lists that I keep on my computer.I like the idea of customizing greeting cards, and I'm sure I'll use the phrases in this book to jump-start my notes. However, if I had leafed through it in a store, I'm not sure I would have bought it.

I never know what to say in greeting cards that actually conveys my feelings. This little book has just the right suggestions for all occasions. I recommend it highly!

It had a lot of different saying from sympathy toPets. I really like it a lot. Gives you all kinds and different messages to write in a card.

This little book is great; it gives you short sentences to use on your greeting cards. I had a death in the family the week this book came in and it was a great help in getting my heart-felt wishes onto the card I was sending. It gives you more options than just the "Happy Birthday" or "I'm Sorry". I would suggest this to anyone who sends cards for any occaision.

クリスマスや友達の誕生日、出産祝いなど女性は言葉を添えて贈り物をする機会が多いですよね。プレゼントまでいかなくてもカードにそっと一言書いて送るというのは年配の方などにも喜ばれるものです。以前似たような本を（この本かも知れませんが）本屋で見つけ、その後何度も「買っておけばよかった」とおもうことがあったので同類の本をと思い購入しました。洋書ですが中学生レベルの英単語の知識で大丈夫です。日本で見かける例文集よりも自然で簡潔なメッセージ。ウィットにとんだ一言など豊富に選択肢があり、この本のおかげでカードを贈るのが趣味になりつつあります。例文を見る限り女性向けに製作されているようです。例えば手作りクラフトなどにアクセントとして文字（メッセージ）を入れたい時などにも文法を考える手間が省けて最適と思います。値段も手ごろですし、私の購入したペーパーバック版は小型の四角形でとてもかわいらしいですよ。巻末の１〜12月各月のアニバーサリー備忘録とでもいいましょうか、忙しい中つい忘れがちな誕生日祝いの記録など読者が書き込めるスペースを設けているのが特筆すべき配慮です。持ち歩きやすいのでカフェへつれていったり、カリグラフィーを習っている方なら教室に持って行ってもおしゃれですね。
