The Terrible Two

This was given to a 9-year old. It was recommended as a good series for kids who like Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He loved this book! He is an advanced reader. so it was kind of an easy read for him, but he really found it to be funny and held his interest. Highly recommend this series!

I love Mac Barnett. Extra Yarn is one of our favorite picture books of all time. I bought this as a bedtime book to read aloud to my 6-year-old daughter. We both loved it! In fact the whole family loved it! This book did not stay relegated to bedtime for long. We cuddled on the couch on a Saturday afternoon and read it. I started taking it whenever we were in the car to read while my husband drove. You will not want to put this book down; it is just that fun. It is also deceptively simple. The sentences are relatively short and easy to read with a lovely flowing cadence. However, the concepts are sometimes fairly deep. This book never fell victim to the obvious or to the juvenile potty humor that I hate. And the vocabulary, completely fabulous! This gave me the opportunity to teach my daughter several new vocabulary words. I definitely love that! It is practically impossible to find a funny book with such great use of words! I highly recommend this book. We are moving on to the The Terrible Two Get Worse!

We are fans of the Mac B Kid Spy books so we decided to try this Mac Barnett book. We loved it! It's such a good book for growing readers (2nd-3rd-4th grade) because the chapters flow by easily and the events keep the story moving along. The story is about a boy named Miles who moves to new town and is determined to establish himself in his new school. Some parents might frown on the idea that the story revolves around school kids playing pranks (essentially doing some things kids shouldn't do). We are a conservative household that tries to emphasize telling the truth, and being respectful of others and we did not find the book to be offensive, just really funny.

I read the first two chapters and I had 12345675225689 LOLs Because of the cows mooing in the distance. I really recommend this book because the concept is so smart. It is about a kid who was the master at pranking at hisold school but he had to move to a different one. At his new chool a kid made a really good prank and Miles(the kid) Wants to find out who did it. The guy who did it (I will not tell you have to read it yourself) wants to team up with miles a make a prancing team. Together they are the terrible two.

Great read, my son enjoyed this! He had to read it for a book challenge

The terrible two was a hit with my 8yo little prankster. Though it’s a chapter book, there’s still some pictures and I think that keeps him engaged. He is not a strong reader. Though he is able to read it, I read the majority of it and have him read a couple sentences every other page.

I'll be getting the rest of the series for my son. He loves it!!

Beautiful book in great condition. My 13-year-old son and I both read it and loved it.
