3M Precise Mouse Pad, Bitmap, 9 in x 8 in, 6 Packs/Case | Enhances the Precision of Optical Mice, Non-Skid Foam Back

I spent a lot of time researching mouse pads and decided to give this a try, I'm so happy that I did because it's perfect. 3M is known for making great products and this is no exception. The surface is a hard plastic type material with a slight texture and a unique white and silver pattern that is designed to increase the reflectivity for an optical mouse, it also has good traction for a ball mouse. This provides more precision when using the mouse and also reduces the amount of battery power that an optical mouse requires. It is not a fabric, and this plastic is very wipeable if you spill anything on it or want to clean it. Due to it not being a fabric it is very easy to sanitize and keep clean as it will not absorb oils and dirt from your palm and fingertips. The bottom of the mouse pad is a soft rubber with texture, it grips well, it does have a slight odor to it. The entire mouse pad is about as thick as a quarter, which is fine with me because I don't like thick mouse pads. It appears to be very durable, one thing I would note though is that the label says that it is made with natural latex rubber which some people may have sensitivity to. Quick update, if you fold or flex this and it creases, the crease isn't going come out. So lay it flat and leave it flat.

This mouse pad noticeably improved my mouse's tracking, especially on my glossy desk where the sensor used to skip. It's thin, lies flat, and the surface has a nice smooth glide. The optical-enhancing texture really does seem to help precision for both work and gaming. Simple, inexpensive, and does exactly what it claims.

I never thought I would want to write a review of a mouse pad but this one is amazing. My Apple Magic Mouse gets laggy and has trouble with many mouse pads, especially any that are rubbery or fabric or fabric-like. It seems to need a reflective surface. I had a metal (aluminum) mouse pad, but it made a horrible scratching noise whenever I moved the mouse. This one works better than any. My Apple Magic Mouse has zero lag and zero issues. It's silent. Good size. I actually really like the texture, and it grips the the table well. I'm buying one for all of my work stations.

The surface tracks well with optical mice and gives a noticeable boost in precision at faster speeds. It stays in place without sliding and is easy to wipe clean. The only minor drawback is that it feels thinner than expected, but performance makes up for it. A solid upgrade for daily use.

When I saw all the reviews, I decided to purchase one of these mouse pads and I am so glad that I did! I love the ultra-thin profile because it's more comfortable on my hand and wrist, especially with long use. The surface is smooth with a slight texture which allows the mouse to move with precision. It's also very easy to wipe clean. The bottom is a thin foam layer that grips the desk surface to prevent sliding around. The size is perfect, with enough room to move the mouse and not slide off the edge. This is a high-quality mouse pad and the best I have been able to find. I would recommend this for the average user or those who do technical work and need the mouse to be very precise.

When placing this order I noticed that Amazon mentioned "last purchased Feb 2018" so I can assure you this is a long lasting product! I have used several of these over the years, both at work and at home, where they get used for many hours every day. Very smooth surface, works perfectly with optical and mechanical mice.

best mouse pad I've ever had

This review is a split opinion. As a pad for a wireless mouse it is excellent. I like that it is smooth and slender. The surface is plastic, so does make a bit of sound versus one that has a cloth surface. Per my desk layout, it is next to my mic, so may be audible to people in video conferences (and for me, clients). Overall, it's a very good mouse pad. The downside about this mouse pad is the material that the underneath portion is made of stinks! It defines "off-gassing." When I first opened it I thought a chemical had come through my windows on the breeze. Then I realized it might be the pad, smelled it up close and it was repulsive. I just got it the day before this review and have yet to use it in the more confined space of my home office. I'm a bit concerned. With all the advances we have with using natural materials, it is disappointing that 3M used whatever this stuff is (although it is 3M, so it's no surprise, either). Why do the major corporations resist obvious and good change? All that said, for now I'm keeping it because I need a pad and do not want to bother with the return process just yet. I'll be leaving it in my garage when not using it and hope it off-gasses enough to be tolerable. If not, I'll definitely return it.

I searched for a good quality and durable mouse pad for a long time until i saw this. I used many mouse pads in 500 rs range and none of them lasted more than 2 months . I was looking for a compact and small size as it fits well and covers enough area for mouse movements. Pros: 1- Super quality and build, 3M brand is needleless to say awesome. 2- Grip is amazing, once placed well in table surface, it does not move bit even if you move mouse heavily 3- The surface so smooth and texture is so nice that mouse movement becomes 50% faster than any other mouse pad. 4- Energy efficient or not but I feel due to the smooth surface faster movement, it really needs less battery power as the tracking light.sensor is the main thing in a mouse that being used and drains battery if surface is not good. 5- by the build quality it will surely last for a long 6- I am a occasional gamer and I feel great precision in mouse while playing games .
