You Wouldn't Want to Be in a Medieval Dungeon! (Revised Edition) (You Wouldn't Want to…: History of the World) Paperback – March 1, 2013

This is a super fun illustrated overview of what one could expect with the medieval justice system. The illustrations are very well done. There is a surprising amount of information packed into what is essentially a picture book. I'll be picking up more in the series.

My daughters used this book to help them prepare for a presentation about life in the Medieval Ages. We love all books from this series. The kids like how they are written, I like the timeline pages & the volume of information.

Colorful illustrations and intelligible facts come together in this book. Some illustrations may be somewhat gruesome to younger readers given the subject focuses on medieval times, however.

First found these at our library and even I loved reading them! Fun, wonderful illistrations and also shows the seriousness of each subject. A great way for kids....and adults to find out about history. We are collecting each of them.

Very funny facts that get kids interested in history. Kudos to Fiona MacDonald for her great series!

Specifically, you wouldn't want to work as a castle jailer! An entertaining way to expose students to the causes for and circumstances surrounding medieval punishments. Great color illustrations on every page. Ages 8-14.
