For children?
The Come Look with Me Series was touted as a great art series for children... which means ages 5 to 10. The Latin book however does not seem appropriate for that age group. Many of the images are scarey... like mouths open in silent screams and contorted faces even though the rest of the painting seems bright and cheery. Another image is of skeletons and has to do with the day of the dead. Another image is of a girl's face on a deer that has been shot with many arrows. I just expected a Latin Art book to be more colorful, more happy, and more beauty. Yes art can show the dark side of life... but I really don't want to show this stuff to elementary school kids. Most of the kids are dealing with hard times already - i dont want to bring up a discussion of death and the purpose of existence and what if you are wrong about that... so heavy. I would not use the book until high school.... and worst book in the series so far.

Great Series
This entire series is wonderful. I was turned on to it by a peer and have used this to help me with my own students, kids, and grandkids. Great find!
