Cathedrals of the World Coloring Book (Dover Coloring Books)

The picture on the front of this book is not the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. It's a nice coloring book, and it does have the Paris cathedral in it (which was why I bought it after the fire), but that cathedral picture is spread over two pages so that you have the book crease in the middle of the picture. Otherwise a nice coloring book, but I took off a star since the Paris Cathedral of Notre Dame isn't the best one.

I knew I had to send this book to my daughter when I saw the cathedral on the front cover. I did think that it probably should have had "real" pictures in their locations rather than diagrams, but as long as my daughter is happy, that's all that matters.

I got this as a gift for one of my friends who is obsessed with church Architecture and she loved it! We're Architecture students so the fact that it featured diagrams was an added bonus!

The historical information in this book is extremely interesting. The drawings are very detailed, so much so, I would like to keep them as sketch art rather than coloring in the book itself. The paper quality of these Dover books is so thin, the colors will seep through and make some pages impossible to appreciate. Dover: Upgrade your paper stock!

Very interesting coloring book with lots of information inside

livret anglophone agrafé souple grand format ancien (1986) présentant 40 cathédrales anciennes ou modernes (choisies dans le monde entier) en n&b prêts à être coloriés; chaque monument est représenté sur une page; en bas de page, une petite notice explicative; les images en couleur servant de modèles sont sur les pages de garde mais seulement 4 d'entre eux; ce livre de coloriage non exhaustif mais bien fait et sérieux sera parfait pour l'apprentissage de l'architecture d'enfants de plus de sept ans suffisamment soigneux et patients pour s'appliquer (sinon faire des photocopies n&b); je dois reconnaître avoir été favorablement surpris par la qualité de cette publication, ayant été échaudé par plusieurs tentatives précédentes, et je dois dire que j'ai enfin trouvé ce que je cherchais et j'envisage d'acquérir d'autres ouvrages de la même série (taper sur le moteur de recherche d'Amazon: Dover coloring book); je pense qu'il vaut mieux préférer les ouvrages neufs même s'ils sont légèrement plus chers pour éviter le risque de se retrouver avec un exemplaire crayonné!
