Soft fabric, larger than I expected.

This hat is just what you'd expect from the description and picture shown. Soft, tiny, and elegant; it's perfect for any baby girl. The material stretches so I'm not concerned with it not fitting. Upon reading another review, I agree that the bow is a bit unstable. I chose to tack it down on each side with some thread to insure that it won't be in her face and lies flat. The way the bow is constructed made it easy to hide the modification.

This was a precious little hat!! We got so many compliments on it. I do wish it had been a little bigger. It still fit mt 6 lb 3 oz'er, but I had to stretch it out a bit. On a bigger baby it may be too tight.

Adorable newborn hat!! Our baby was 7.5lbs and it fit her great. (Much better than the hats they give you in the hospital). I would definitely repurchase. It's just so adorable and durable! I have already washed it several times and it is holding up nicely.
