This product is made by the same company that makes the OEM version. That being said, there is a difference in the product from the original. The rubber mount on the new one with the little slots for attaching it to the frame is turned 90 degrees from what is needed. All you have to do is remove the old surround by stretching it, do the same with the new, and switch it out. This is on a 1999 V-star 650 Classic at least.

I was surprised that it came with different fuses than the motorcycle used when it was to be for the motorcycle I purchased it for.

I was having problems with my bike not wanting to turn over. It had spark and fuel. so I changed starter solenoid and now it starts up every time like a charm

Product description is right but didn't even work one star is too much and as cheap as it was I didn't bother to return it
