I bought this to replace a can I just finished up after purchasing it in 1998. Minwax doesn't seem to be carried anymore in retail in-person stores so I found it here instead. Same stuff I am used to using for going on 30 years now. It is a decent product if you're looking for a cheap oil stain that you can just rub on and either leave alone or topcoat with something else.

I have several Minwax stains, almost all of them by now. We are reno’ing our kitchen and I decided to do our upper cabinets in dark walnut. They’re beautiful!

Good stain but color is way off from the picture on the can. The color is more like a medium gray so had to add a light white stain I had to lighten it.

I love this stain, it gives such a nice dark color to wood. I've made quite a few projects for this. If you plain to use this on pine wood, be sure to use pre-stain. I always add a coat or two of oil polyurethane for scratch resistance. Overall, I am going to keep getting this stain. I plan to use it on a computer desk I am making for the top portion.

If you like this color stain, you will love this one. It is fine. Easy to work with, easy to cover with finish. I have come upon no shortcomings using this every week for about a month.
