Absolutely the best and only Bible you need. Seriously stop scrolling and buy this one. KJV is a hard read but NKJV brings the beauty of the Bible with an easier to understand translation without losing anything like other translation’s. It has a lot of photos and explanations. It reads like a text book. I have bought a few bibles but hadn’t found the right one and finally have. I bought the NKJV hardcover Bible. The pictures are only on paper cover and not on the cover of the Bible itself. The Bible is hardcover in burgundy. There are no indents for each book of the bible. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

This is one of the most comprehensive study Bibles I’ve used. The full-color photos, maps, and illustrations really bring the historical and cultural context of the Scriptures to life. The NKJV translation is clear and readable, and the book introductions, word studies, and bottom-of-page notes add depth without feeling overwhelming. The Comfort Print type is easy on the eyes, and the hardcover feels durable. My only complaint is that it’s quite heavy and large — not something you’ll want to carry everywhere, especially if you also carry other books or items. But for home study, preparation, or extended reading sessions, it’s excellent.

So I have been buying these Bibles for people that are interested in the faith and so far they have been a great Bible. Also, I love the fact that it’s not just a regular Bible, but it is also a Study Bible. The people that I have gotten this gift for absolutely love it.

Great Bible, easy to read with football notes for elaboration

I'm not new to Christianity, I was raised going to church and God has been an important part of my life from the beginning. Ive become a "church on holidays" type of person, but now that Im a wife and mother of 2 babies I wanted to really renew and explore my faith. Ive always wanted to read the Bible all the way through, but every time I get stuck in the beginning of Genesis and give up. So I got myself a year long study guide and this Bible. So far I am 1 whole week into my daily readings and absolutely devouring the breakdown of information. This Bible has helped me understand the language and story of the verses in depth. I am learning so much I didnt know, and really enjoying the way this Bible breaks down every verse. There are also pictures and side notes of information along the way that have helped me stay interested. Trying to read the Bible for what it is as someone who isnt very knowledgeable about the language feels like I'm just reading words on a page. The breakdown of this Bible has helped me understand and retain so much information that I didn't even know I was missing. I highly recommend this study Bible for everyone, but especially for those of you who want to read and understand the Bible better, and need it broken down and explained more, like me!

This is the best study Bible I have tried; others spend too much time explaining the obvious (I can figure out for myself that the animals in Nineveh didn't actually repent in sackcloth and ashes!). This Bible has full color maps, pictures of the relevant areas, and extensive notes on the culture and practices of the ancient peoples mentioned in the various passages. Manages to make even Deuteronomy and Leviticus fascinating and understandable, which is no easy task. Pages are thin and typeface rather small, but overall a wonderful value for the price.

The only issue is print/font size. I thought it would be larger. Love all the additional student items and maps/photos.

I purchased this hardcover NKJV Study Bible as an Easter gift for my young adult son. I was pleased when it arrived to see how nice it is. This Bible is beautiful, packed with colour illustrations and maps, and filled with helpful information of all kinds. I particularly like the articles on different subjects which are sprinkled throughout the Bible. I am probably going to borrow my son's Bible just to read these. Note that the hardcover shown in the photo has a dustjacket. The actual cover of the book is plain, with a shiny maroon colour. There is gold lettering on the spine. I think it looks nice with the dustjacket on or off.
