Monterey Once A Year Insect Control Systemic Insect Treatment Concentrate, 1gal

Crepe Myrtles were losing leaves early due to aphids infestation. Sprays did not help! After one treatment the plant was healthy & beautiful again! And only one treatment yearly!

I have been using this on some of my trees ever since one got aphids really bad about 2001. No aphids since. I've also used it on some birch trees that were badly damaged by a "Borer Beetle" infestation in our town a couple of years ago. It made that go away and the trees are recovering. I keep it on hand for each spring as the trees start to leaf out. It's easy to apply by mixing it with the prescribed amount of water in a watering can.

Our nursery suggested this product and it works really well. We already had signs of borers and scale on some plants. Put this on and they disappeared within days. No new infestations in the 9 months since we put it on. Reapply every year. Very cost effective. Takes a little time as you need to mix the right amount, apply it, then put on clean water. We don't want to pour it all at once to avoid runoff.

I have had decent success with the product over the years last 5 years. In southern Arizona a very small mite attacks the trees and it is hard to stop the spread. The Monterey, when I get the dosage correct, does a good job on the mite.

I absolutely love this product. I do not use it outdoors, but in a more dilute form for my clivias that used to have mealybugs almost constantly no matter how often I tried to get rid of them. Once a year is actually enough, and I always apply it several weeks before the plants come back indoors for the winter season. I have not had any mealybug infestations at all since I started doing this.

I've used this product for years to pour around my Linden tree trunk just as the branches are starting to bud out. it has kept Japanese beetles from destroying the tree for 6 years now. So easy to apply when buds are appearing. Liquid goes up into root system and into leaves. They might eat a few leaves, but then die. Almost lost the tree one year and now don't worry at all - just put on the calendar to remember to have this on hand by April 1st and when the tree starts to bud, pour it around and you're done. Sit back and enjoy.
