Step Down Transformer

Update on 25 May 2025 - Replacement order cancelled and keeping original unit as I see voltage coming down to 120v. The initial higher voltage could be due to voltage fluctuations at my end. However it's not 110v which is labelled. Previously I had purchased VC-1000 model in Nov 2019 and it was working fine till now but it's coil got short circuit in second week of May2025. Hoping newly purchased model last longer than previous one. Original review. Received product in good shape and undamaged. However when tested the output found to be more than 110v. The output in unit and multimeter found to be 126v. This can damage the appliance. Placed replacement order. Will update once received. Thank you.

I bought this to run 1100w hair dryer and it works really well. Voltage Converter looks pretty good, quiet when in use - good design. Given LED shows output voltage usually greater than 115v in my case but never have had any issues so far. Only problem feels to me is the length of its cord which is too short and should have been longer for better placement of this device, Indian power outlets usually are located at around 4ft high from the floor which makes it impossible to place this on the floor/ground. Converter is equipped with tiny suction cups at the bottom for firm grip and helps any accidental fall which is really a plus, but only useful if that device can reaches ground/floor. Most people will need to use small table or something to make it reachable to the power supply.

I have been using convertors for more than a decade and they were usually from local stores due to lack of branded suppliers. They were clunky and not consistent. This is my second UMI device and bought this after good experience with my first device. Firstly this is well package so can be left in your desk or cabinet and it merges with a classy white look. The device is sturdy and consistent in performance. The price point is a little in the higher end for the higher capacity devices and hopefully more volumes will help keep the price lower. I would definitely recommend to but this device instead of local electronic stores built ones which may not have standardized equipment.

I purchased this product a month ago for my canon wireless printer. Although it's a bit expensive but works really well. I don't keep my printer running all the time though so not sure how the voltage converter would perform on continuous usage. Overall product is very sturdy and seems to be reliable.

Fantastic option for AV recivers of high capacity . Sleek and looks neet along with the speakers in front. Has grips so that it won't fall. Worth investing for the US rating gadgets

While it lasted it worked well. Then it stopped working 2 months back. It is practically impossible to find the contact details for service or support. Finally located it in Bangalore & couried the unit there But the response is very unprofessional with calls not returned & only 1 number to call. The final word is that they do not have the parts for repair or replacement! Now I have to find something that is more reliable and has good service support in India.

No power supply and tried to get the customer care number of the manufacturer and unfortunately it is not available in the internet itself. Nicole India pvt limited is what is shown in the warranty slip and the company customer care or helpline number is not available
