Ebony wood
Ordered this to help finish a decorative box on four corners. They are a true 1" x 1" x 12" in size and sand and fit nicely. Would be nice if they were a little cheaper but understand where they come from and will order more as needed.

Good ebony, solid color through piece
Did not come with square edges, more of a trapezoid but I suspect this is from how the wood drys, also why it has wax to help with the wood drying process. Cut off some slices and was the piece is black throughout. I would order again if needed.

Split and Fractured
Woodworker for 40+ years. Received my Ebony coated in wax, removed wax and ran it through the bandsaw, resawed lengthwise. both pieces had 2 cracks the full length of stock. Junk product, cracks were hidden. now glue up cracks and set back a day. Not impressed.

The media could not be loaded. For me, it was perfect ! Perfect cut, perfect wood and it was EASY to work !

Very good wood. Definitely ebony, you could even say that I have wood for this wood!

NOT BLACK.
I have not got a good look at the grain structure yet.I looks reasonably straight and fairly tight.I is not as dense and hard, as good ebony should be.Don't count on it being quarter sawn.This is far from black.NOT BLACK.This piece is a purplish red brown.
