Great replacement lens....not so great packaging
This lens is a perfect fit for a Maglite 2D cell torch. It comes in a plastic tub, well-protected and a spare o-ring is included. Good thickness to the lens and crystal-clear. My only issue is not with the lens but the packaging: the lens is covered in a shrink-wrapped polythene material which was quite difficult to remove. When I did get it off, it had left a sticky residue on the lens. Fortunately, I'm a photographer and had the right stuff to remove it, isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud, finished off with a polishing cloth. This apart, a great upgrade for a Maglite torch.

Great replacement for an old well worn lens
Being brand new it is far clearer than my old Maglite lens, should be far more scratch resistant than the original plastic one was.

Far clearer than the plastic lens fitted.
I have 2 Maglite torches that these fit - a 3-D cell and a 4-D cell, both of which have been upgraded from filament bulbs to the Cree 3Watt LED bulb - also a very useful upgrade. The glass fitted perfectly and is far clearer than the piece of plastic used previously. Both upgrades thoroughly reccommended.

Excellent upgrade and have made the beam brighter, really don't understand the standard lens being plastic

Good and clear, fits well
Needed a replacement for original, now cloudy, lens. This one was quickly delivered, fits well and easy to fit. Clearly glass, I cannot say whether it is shatterproof because I'm not going to try! Not 5 stars because it comes with one O-ring which does fit, but in accessing the lenns there are actually 2 O-rings and I would have thought it would have been good to replace both.

Great lens, perfect fit!
Absolutely brilliant. It’s a lens and it goes in my Maglite (2 D Cell). It’s crystal clear and it came with a new seal - which I wasn’t expecting so was a huge bonus. Fitted this lens along with a new LED bulb and it’s turned my old Maglite from a hazy candle to a pin sharp miniature sun!! I would highly recommend.
