It quickly loss the sticking power. I have to clean it frequently with dilute detergent solution to keep it working. There is no instruction for how to restore its stickiness. I found the fix online.

I was afraid that this wouldn't hold my phone, especially since I have a giganto LG Intuition (although you can use it for any phone). I thought that surely the phone would go flying off as soon as I turn a sharp curve. Something made me give it a shot though and I'm glad I did. Man, does this thing HOLD. There is no way the phone will ever fall off. It is so grippy. In fact, I have to de-suction it when I want to get it off. Don't get me wrong. It is not a hassle to take off. It is just firmly and securely held on and it must be pulled off.The product is very low-tech which is why it works so perfectly in the right circumstances and less well in others. For example, you must have a flat dashboard or the product is not likely to stick. It works by being sticky and having enough suction, so if your dashboard is not flat, the holder will not get a sufficient grip, so keep that in mind. Also, if you use a cleaning or protecting product on your dash and it leaves a residue, this product may have a harder time sticking. The grip will not be as secure if it has a layer of film/oil between it and the dash. This is not an issue for me since I don't use those products (the off-gassing is horrible), but if you do, keep in mind this holder may not stick as well. Also, if you use lotion and the lotion goes from your hands to the phone, then the grip will be weakened (also sunscreen in the summer, etc).The stickiness renews by washing the rubbery parts in water with a little dish soap. It works exactly like those little rubber spider-things that you throw on the wall and they "walk" down. The first couple of times you throw them, they work great but then after hitting the dusty floor a few times, they quit working. You rinse off the dust and they're like new again. Same thing with this product. If you take it on and off of the dashboard several times, you may need to give it a rinse.Again, along the low-tech theme, the only movement that this has is a hinge that angles the phone forward or backward. Take a close look at the picture and you will see that there is no way for it to rotate or swivel, so if that is important to you, then this is not the right holder.Because it can be washed and because it is not sized to a particular phone, I recommend this phone holder if you have a flat dashboard and you don't need the phone to swivel. You can use it for your current phone and your next one.Update: I've been using this for 2 years now and it still works like it did when I bought it. It has been through 2 phones and 4 cases and has worked well for me with all of them.

This mount isn't easy to use. It doesn't rotate easily. You have to use both hands and sometimes it will come off the dashboard. I threw mine away.

Someone wrote a great review so I tried it. I followed the instruction how to install but it even didn't stick for the first time, so I trash it.

AS SOON AS I OPENED IT I WAS SO EXCITIED, THE METAL PART (WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SCREW) BROKE IN HALF. THE RUBBER IS SLIMY NOT STICKY..... SORRY

Item never held cell phone for more than a few minutes. Not worth purchasing. Would have returned but now too late.

it let my cell phone fall off when it was 80+ degrees. metal frame come off in hot tempreture. poor sticking when hot.
