Not as Pictured
Just be forewarned, the item sent is not what was pictured. If you look closely at the second picture this is the item you will get. The plastic part is flat and is attached with a small screw versus the item pictured which has a plastic button on the bottom that goes into a slot on the metal base. Time will tell if this is a cost reduction, or a product improvement.

East bound and down...
This little clip harkens back to the glorious days of mobile CB radio when real men had 102" long stainless steel whips bent over in a gentle arc and secured at the end by one of these little clips screwed onto the rain gutter (those are also long gone) where it was most effective in chewing the paint off and causing these little rust streaks on your paint job. BUT if you have a vintage van or the like, this clip is the missing link to the ultimate in retro styling goodness! And its like what, a dime fiddy?! Never spent so little to look so cool!

Does the job
I originally purchased one of these that came in a package with my whip antenna. I may or may not have broken the first one by welding a little too close to the plastic. The only problems I had with the durability of this product were my own fault and this one has held up well so far.
