It’s fast and pretty damn accurate! It even read my body temperature quickly when I stuck the probe under my tongue. The on off feature ...on is when you flip it open, closed is when it snaps close is convenient..so is the length and the ability to go in an angle so your hand doesn’t get burned. I use it the check the temp on most items ...including oil, water and myself 😁

Thermometer was ready to use and easy to use right out the box. Wiped the needle clean before use, used it to check my smoked pork and got a reading instantly. Accurate temps in seconds and a button to hold the reading when you can't see the guage immediately. Useful for all types of large cuts of meat.

I wanted a folding thermometer for easier carrying and so far this thermometer is working as hoped - it seems accurate with short temperature stabilization time and clear display. I still am trying to verify the absolute accuracy, but it does agree closely to other thermometers I have. The advertised lifetime warranty and extra battery are bonuses.
