Review: Simple, elegant, and easy to read - This is my favorite watch, and the second one I have bought in over 20 years. It's very easy to read (especially if you choose the version with san-serif font). I had a little trouble setting the day and date at the beginning (it doesn't come with a manual), but a little web searching solved it. Unlike most other manual models, to set the date, you pull the knob out half way, but to set the day of the week, you have to keep rotating the time setting for many days until to get to the correct day. Fortunately, you only have to do this once. My only other complaint is it doesn't come with a black watchband.

It's an Easy Reader all numbers. It shows both the Date and Calender. It has the Second division markings and no extra distractions. All three hands line up exactly on 12:00 without being a hair off (important). The Indiglo system is awesome. The entire dial lights up evenly so the hands seluett show easily in front of the background. The brown leather band is a little too stiff, but of good quality leather. Takes CR2025 lithium battery, and to replace it, the back opens by removing four Philips screws holding a rubber gasket (an important feature). Excellent quality. TIMEX. You can't beat the Timex prices for the quality you get.

**Q: My husband just had cataract surgery  so cannot see his watch at night.  now that he is far sighted, could he read this watch at night?**
A: The face glows very brightly, and the hands are thick and easy to see. I, too, am far sighted, and gave up using a digital watch because you have to "read" the numbers, not "see" the hands on the clockface.

**Q: I give up.  How can i set the day of the month on my new t2h281 easy reader? Timex gives no readable instructions in box or on internet.**
A: The instructions are terrible.  Pull the stem out carefully, part way to change the day of the month.  If it is still on the minutes, push it in paret way.

**Q: Can ladies wear this watch?**
A: I am a woman and I wear this all the time because I have such a hard time seeing my watch and I love that it’s the indigo so all I do is press the button and I can see the time even at night it’s a great watch

A: It's very water resistant.  It's the best watch buy I have ever made.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still One of the Best Watches Around

This my third one of these watches. The first one was purchased about 20 years ago and it and second one still run perfectly. (I have three because I periodically misplace one.) The latest one has the date function. I've changed the battery several times myself. The indiglo feature - invented by Timex, by the way - is an excellent feature, allowing you to check the time in the dark. The watches are handsome, classic and never go out of style. They look a lot like other much more expensive watches. I get frequent compliments on the ones with light brown bands. (bought separately) If you're old enough you remember the "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking" ads on t.v. (Cue elephant stepping on watch), it's still true. I wear them in everything I do from going out to dinner to running a chain saw in the woods, and they still look and run great. It's handsome, sturdy, tells accurate time, you can see it (!), it glows in the dark, and that big old face is so retro cool. Perfect.
