A largely different set of songs to the norm
I have a lot of time for the '100 Hits' series of compilations, they always offer excellent value for money, with songs that are always originals, no re-recordings or live tracks. This 'Indie Anthems' compilation is no different, although many of the tracks, as good as they are, aren't really what I, and I assume many other listeners wold consider to be anthems. It's a strong line up though, with classic tunes from the '80s and '90s, right up to the present day with some excellent recent (ish) material. If you're looking for a box set which overall bigger artists and tunes, then I strongly suggest you buy Indie Anthems - The Ultimate Collection .But I what also like about this collection, is the fact that it does omit so many of the usual suspects (probably due to licensing restrictions), and instead gives the listener a whopping helping of other indie songs that don't appear so regularly on compilations, therefore offering more 'indie'. Sets like this are a great way to discover new bands and artists, and all the tracks on this one sound fresh and clean. A superb stocking filler!

Indie? Cowboys more like!
Another 100 Hits for a couple of quid - it's so bad I don't think it deserves a review.
