This is a solid brass reproduction of a large antique pocket compass. The antique patina compass looks just like a 100 year old antique. The antique finish requires no maintenance and can be handled without fingerprints discoloring the brass. There is a small lever on the side of the compass that operates a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass bearing while in transit. The compass rose is graduated in degrees and has a standard surveyor's 0 to 90 degree scale from North and South. The compass is 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter, 11/16 inch (1.75 cm) thick, and weighs 8.4 ounces (238 grams).

Favorite Christmas Present!
This turned out to be my daughter's favorite Christmas present! It is a beautiful compass, sturdy and works perfectly. I ordered the chain to go with it, and when it didn't come, they mailed it out to me that day. I let her pick out the engraving, so that it held the most meaning to her. As a gift or a working compass, it is great!

Antique LARGE brass pocket compass
I bought this compass as a gift, I loved the antique look and the fact that it seemed larger than the one I was looking at online. When I received it, I wasn't disappointed at all , it really has an antique look. Pocket compass? Hum.... If you have really big and really solid pockets, because they are really not lying when they describe it as large.!!!!! To be honest, the picture of the hands holding the compass is absolutely exact, but when I saw it I immediately thought about a decoration on a desk more than a compass you would reall carry on your pocket... Size wize .Beautiful compass in itself !

Excellent Buy!!
Excellent buy. I was blown away at the quality and even way more on the price. Holding it in your hand it's hard to believe the price. Really well made and just an awesome piece. If this were a $200 dollar compass, it would still be worth it. Great job guys! All thumbs up.

Had the Antique Look I Wanted
