Crochet Cuties Kit

I have a crochet shop on etsy and wanted to learn to make stuffed animals. I contacted Elizabeth on her etsy shop where she sells animal patterns and she told me about this kit. I ordered it and am so glad I did. Contains a pattern book for many of her animals, yarn and stuffing for one project! I was very pleased with the kit content and feel like I got my money's worth and more! I can't wait to get started on it! I got this for Christmas and although I'm pretty advanced in Amigurumi making I loved the colorful picture book that is included but it left out one important thing which is how to make the magic loop. All amigurumi starts with the magic loop so if you're gifting this to a beginner that type of info would be important to include in the book. But luckily YouTube has tutorials on how it's done.Overall its a great starter kit but I had to dock one star due to the guidebook not teaching you how to make the magic loop and the yarn Ben cut half way into the roll.

This is NOT a kit for an eight yr old beginner who has a parent with no experience! The "kit" includes a pattern book, yarn, a hook and some poly fill for stuffing. There is not one bit of help or instruction other than to go online and search for yourself. Every time I get to another crochet term I have to look up and find a suitable youtube video to understand how to execute it. This kit is great if there is someone experienced who has the ability to show a child what to do. My daughter is very crafty, and sews her own clothes with minimal help so it is not her skills that are lacking. Please note I have never posted a review before, never mind anything so negative. This product should not be marketed to children or to beginners of any age without at least some information on the box to say what you will need to do.

Nice kit, but wish you could pick which one you wanted to make, we didn't know which one was coming.
