No matter what, unless otherwise stated, any pan should be at the very least greased. Most will call for flour or corn meal as well. As far as these cake pans, I greased with shortening and floured the pans and had no problem getting cakes to come out. **Q: Are the side of the pans straight or slightly slanted?** A: The sides of the pans are straight.
