Wilton Aluminum Performance Pans Set of 2 9-Inch Round Cake Set

I should have read J. Sterling's review before I bought these. Straight sided pans are needed to bake a cake with straight edges for decorating. If pans nest inside each other, they do not have straight sides. You have to buy Wilton DECORATOR PREFERRED pans to get the straight sides. You would think a WILTON pan would automatically make it best for cake decorating.I have since found out that Magic Line pans always have straight sides, are not much more in price (especially considering you keep cake pans 10 to 20 years), and are superior quality than Wilton and Fat Daddio's.

I have used them a few times so far and i have had to adjust my stove to compensate for the cooking, but its worth it. A much more even baking experience.

I bought my first set of 2 almost 20 years ago and have loved them to death. So it only seemed reasonable to buy 2 sets since some of my cakes, are 3 layers. The weight of the pan is perfect for even delicate cake batters like the german chocolate cake and, unlike, cheaper quality pans, the bottom *never* burns nor do the sides get overdone before the middle of the cake is cooked.

I bought this two pack of round pans for my Mom, after helping her try to make a layer cake with two different size pans. Needless to say, that didn't go well, but the good news is that she was absolutely thrilled with these pans. They are a solid construction but not too heavy, and they leave a good "finish" on the outside your cakes--if you follow the instructions for use. The sides are not fully straight, but they are very close, and this set is definitely a good value for the money.

It's a good buy but the pan sides are not straight. They go out ever so slightly. It shows when the cake is decorated.

These are terrific. Anyone who complains about discoloration misses the point. The cake is fine. Theses pans are sturdy and bake evenly. Being 2" deep if you adjust your recipe you can get a great cake that's taller than your average cake

These were so pretty that I almost hated to use them. I sprayed them with Baking Pam, baked two yellow cakes, and practically wiped them clean with a damp sponge. Don't hesitate, these pans are fantastic. I’ve already ordered 4 Wilton muffin-top pans, I’m so happy with their quality.

I was worried and didn't realize that the sides were slightly (very, very slightly slanted) after I ordered these. The pans nest inside each other. This didn't bother me at all, and my cakes are straight and stack nicely. I'm going to order two more for 3 layer cakes. They come clean easily, and I love that they are aluminum, I expect them to be long lasting, These are to replace a set that my mom had for at least 60 years. These are very similar and I expect them to perform for a long time. High professional quality pans.

Perfect cake pans will last a lifetime and never rust. When you buy Wilton brand you will get the quality professional bakers use and need.

They work for heating up leftovers.

Can't believe all the reviews that say these pans are non-stick. I have only used them a couple of times and both times the cake layers have stuck to the pans even though I oil...
