Combi-Cam7432M Combination Cam Lock with Master Key Override, 0 7/8, Chrome

This isn't going to keep Hans Gruber out of Nakatomi Plaza's bank vault, but it should keep your kids out of the cabinet with the cookies, or secure your desk at work so your nosy coworkers don't go through your personal items when you're not there.This will replace virtually anything with a cam lock (the little flat piece on the back of the lock that's held on with a screw is the CAM), and all you need to do is make sure that you measure to make sure you are getting the correct size (front to back) to replace the old one. It's fairly easy to change the combination to whatever you want. If you forget the combination, the lock also comes with some tubular bypass keys you can toss on your key ring or in a nearby secret hiding place. For the down sides - this is mostly plastic, so you should really only use it to keep things secured in an environment where you don't expect someone to just bust it open with a hammer. It's not going to keep out a determined thief for very long. Also, the numbers on the combination dials might also be difficult to see, especially in low light. Other than that, this really is a great little lock with tons of uses that is a great value for the price.

Works great on my harbor freight box's. Always loosing my keys so this is perfect. Unfortunately not sure it's worth the $42 price tag. I paid $$33 for mine and thought that was pricey. Otherwise great replacement lock.

This is a surprisingly well made lock. Easy to set up with my combination and install. I replaced a keyed lock on my mailbox so that I will not have to remember to take a key with me when I walk out in my front yard. My wife wanted a key to carry in her car, so this make us both happy.True to their claims, the lock easily replaces a standard 3/4 inch cabinet lock. Note that there are 3 cam lengths. (the cam is the threaded shaft on the back of the lock)... measure the length of the lock that you are replacing so that you purchase the S, M, or L version of this lock. The S = 5/8 M = 7/8 and L = 1&1/8 inches....They also make an inverted lock were the numbers are flipped so that the lock mechanism can hang down below the hole. I could have used one of these, but did not find one with the short cam on Amazon.The lock functions smoothly and appears to be well built to withstand the weather. I see that this lock is resold by a company making substantial locking mailboxes, so I am confident that it will work well on my box.

I set a certain code and it changed by itself. Now I can only use it with the key. I noticed this activity the first day but I thought I was doing something wrong. Once I changed it back to my desired code it changed again to something else and the code has no use now. Too late to return. I wish I can get a refund.

I had the silver one (three digit) of these in a Console Safe. After a couple years, it simply quit working, bound up. They refused to replace it so I bought this one. This one is significantly lower quality.Most importantly, the cam bolt on the last one was hardened, machined steel. this one appears cast and the threads were degrading within a couple on and offs of the nylock nut. Secondly, the numbers do not have positive lockup at all. They seem sloppy and loose, land in between numbers, and feel like they'll break soon. The previous one I had was very positive. Lastly, when turning the dial fully to "lock", the numbers will not rotate. I have to turn the dial back from that position and find a sweet spot for the numbers to move, in order to "lock" the safe. Pretty disappointed in this lock, and it doesnt inspire much confidence.Black is cool though.

Great security improvement for any camper. I used these to replace all of the storage compartment lock and the camp kitchen lock on my trailer. On the camp kitchen I added 2 one to each side to make the compartment a bit more secure.Works as expected and good quality just do make sure you get the right size.

I replaced the key lock of my locked mailbox with this. Pretty simple task, and now I never have to worry about bring the key with me to get the mail. It's awesome.

The instructions that are included are of poor quality. It's one tiny sheet that doesn't explain much of anything useful. I managed to get it working but my numbers are all upside down. Oh well.

Great product with multiple ways to use it.Easy to reset code from the front end and also very practical with the keys.Highly recommended.
