I love this thing... I just wish I could afford a bunch more.
I purchased this hoop some time ago and am just getting around to reviewing it. I passionately hate the annoyance of captive ball rings, and after years of struggling with them I decided to look for alternatives. I need to be able to remove my piercings easily for diagnostic imaging tests such as MRIs and XRays, so I can't get away with wearing permanently closed hoops like I did in my younger days. I need a bunch of hoops for various piercings, but decided to start with one to test it out. I have to say, I love it.I've been wearing the 8mm size in my oldest hole on an earlobe just to test for reactions before moving it to any of my more sensitive locations, but I love it so far after about a month of use. In terms of diameter, the 8mm is compact. There's still a gap where it falls below my earlobe, but not a huge gap (I'll post a photo when I get around to it). I haven't tried it in my tragus yet, but I suspect the fit will be just right. In terms of the closure, this is frickin' fantastic. Frickin' FANTASTIC! It opens and closes easily but snugly enough that it doesn't open inadvertently. It looks darn near seamless when closed and I can spin it freely in the hole without feeling a catch on any of the seams. I find it to be very well made and comfortable.Historically, I am not super sensitive to metals, but I do itch and turn colors if they are total junk and I've had no problems yet with this hoop. I know you get what you pay for and $10 is a fair price point, but my only complaint is the lack of a bulk discount. I'd love to have a bunch of these and I can't make that happen at $10 each. Overall though, I'm tickled pink with this purchase.

Finally! Perfect 'fitted' ring style.
Excellent "fitted" nose ring. Was looking for something quality, dainty, and something I wouldn't have to worry about an open end causing the piercing hole to close (yep, have had to painfully 're-pierce' my own nose because of open ended rings, no fun). This was an absolutely perfect solution. It's so tiny and 'fitted' against the nose, if that makes sense. I got the gold 6mm in 20g and it took less than 20 seconds to put it in. Latch appears and seems secure, you actually have to kind of click it into place. But it isn't visible to anyone else, unless they're looking up your nose for some reason. Seamless, pretty, just what I was looking for! Come fall, I will be buying the black hoop in the same size when I lose my tan and gold doesn't look as good on me lol.For reference, I originally ordered 8mm but saw the size through the packaging and sent it right back. 6mm is perfect if you're looking for a snug fit. Although I was originally wondering if I should have gotten a 7mm, fearing my schnozz wasn't small enough for the 6mm. But the 6mm is perfect. I can't see it out of the corner of my eye like the one I had prior. And it's not so small that it feels like it's pinching any skin.

The best nose hoop!
I love this nose hoop! I have had it for several months. It’s so easy to take out and put back in we’re not allowed to wear hoops at my part time job. I also love the size!

18 gauge, 7mm silver for ears
This is the 18 gauge, 7mm silver in my second earlobe hole and it’s a bit tight. I wanted something close/snug but not squeezing so I might go up to an 8mm (larger hoops size) or even a 20 gauge (thinner). The 18 gauge was the thickness of the jewelry I got when I pierced my ears at a piercing parlor (NOT the mall). The 16 gauge was too thick for my sensitive ears and my newly healed new holes became enflamed and irritated when I tried to squeeze the 16 gauge into them. I’m considering buying a 20 gauge for even thinner hoops. If you’re looking for nice thin, barely there hoops then go up to 20 gauge or higher. I tried both 5mm and 6mm based on reviews and photos and they were way too small for me.I would recommend buying a few sizes and seeing what works for your own body/style. Everyone’s bodies are unique. As for the other features, it was easy to open and close and the smoothness of the seam makes for no-fuss or fiddling since the hoop can spin without anyone noticing the hinge. It’s stainless steel so won’t be as shiny as sterling silver but way better for my sensitive ears (nickel allergy) and more sturdy.Overall happy with this purchase. Just be sure to take your time finding the right size for your own style and comfort.

Solid, Colors are fabulous and such good quality! I have had mine in my ear for years. Never tarnishes, keeps its shape, doesn't fall out, and does not hurt. BEST RING EVER. Get this for everyone!

gap within the hinge may harbor bacteria
i currently use this for my labret piercing. although i am glad it is secure, the closure is hard to open/close causing me to hurt myself when i remove the jewelry to clean it. there is also a gap within the hinge while closed that is very hard to reach. this space is easy to catch food/debris and may be hard to notice for someone who can't see it. i had to use a very thin sewing needle to scrape out debris within this gap.

Definitely size up!!!!
After reading the reviews, I thought a 7mm would be snug, but not TOO snug. I was wrong. The 7mm sat directly against my nose, squeezing my nose. The latch is very hard to get open and close, so I ended up having to CUT the ring itself to remove it from my nose. Overall a good ring, just definitely size up one or two more mm than you think you’ll need!

Perfect
Exactly what I wanted, beautiful clicker that has caused zero discomfort. It is my daily septum jewelry and hasn’t discoloured at all. Super high quality.

Size up
Love the ring and it doesn't make it sensitive like cheaper rings. It fits perfectly. A little difficult to put in when it's going to be worn snug but once in it's perfect! Doesn't come undone once snapped together

Beautiful but small
I like it cuz it a really pretty colour and it’s SUPER easy to put on! the product was absolutely amazing. However, I have a problem with how dainty it is. When I have my head straight you can’t tell it’s even there ! It’s only like from the side or if I tilt my head up that you can tell I’m wearing a piercing. Like i knew it would be small but I didn’t know it would be almost invisible
