That said, I did not know what to expect of this as photos are always deceptive even if it is only my perception of the photo. Once it was unpackaged and used over a propane burner I found it to be wonderful. I have a Lyman ladle and using both of these together is the total package. I now wish I had not even purchased the electric as this work so well. I have not even used the electric yet because this works so well. you can put dirty lead in here and spoon of the top junk (is dross the right word?) and below is bright shiney lead. I love it.
