Before we got the container, having an open bag of kibble was more challenging because it was tempting for our dog to "self-serve" if it was accessible, even clipped shut. Putting it in the garage wasn't an option either because we live where wildlife sometimes sets up housekeeping close by. This container is so convenient because the wheels make it easy to roll under a kitchen counter, out of the way. The airtight snap lid keeps the food fresh and safe. As smart as our dog is, she can't get it open. The size is nice too, as the large bags we purchase are usually about 22-lbs. The opaqueness makes it easy to see the level of food. Sometimes if we get a good deal on another high quality kibble, we'll mix the previous food with the new one for an easier transition for our dog.
