Ushanka-hat Russian Soviet Army Fur Military Cossack

What better way to express your inner Comrade than this. This is a well made item, very good quality, and looks genuine (though it is not). The fur is thick and very soft. The hat is fully lined with a satiny material. The only tricky issue is that it seems a little snug, even the largest size. I got it for my 15 year old son, and he is a tall, skinny, lanky kid, he loves it, though the hat does feel a little tight, according to him, but he has very thick wavy rockabilly hair, which he stuffs inside the hat. We live in a semi desert area, and it gets very cold, frosty, and windy during the early winter mornings, and this hat is great for dealing with those extreme weather conditions. My son took the photo himself. Hat brings out his part Russian ancestry (from dad). I liked the personal note that came with the hat too. I highly recommend this item.

When a 13 year old see's Russian soldiers on every video game, he wants the hat. More than that: this is in vogue in the schools right now and my son wanted one. They are all wearing them. First off, fast shipping. It arrived blazingly fast and before the stated date. This isn't a heavy real fur hat but it sure looks the part. It is light and more importantly it IS warm. It fits my son's head great and he LOVES it. In fact, I am thinking of buying one myself. Obviously, I can't say much about the long term wear but for today it is 5 stars. Unlike another reviewer, the hat DOES come with a pin. If there is any criticism I have, the pin is thin and what holds the pin on the hat are two bendable wires in the back. You need to punch a small starter pinhole to easily push the wires through but this was a no brainer. IF you try and push or force the pins in, you could break the pin. HOWEVER...for the price....it gives the hat all it's appearance. Once it's on, it looks fantastic and you can't tell the difference IMO. So, go ahead and order one if your are not planning on spending hundreds/thousands for a real fur one. We're happy.

Style: One of the compelling reasons why I bought this item: even as a child watching movies, this hat has fascinated me more than I adored the actors wearing this hat. I think the Russian military has the coolest fashion sense in the world. Price: A bit on the high end considering the materials used; wouldn't mind it if fit and promptness of delivery have met expectations. Fit: My head measurement (with allowance) fell within the medium size range, but the medium item that arrived was a bit tight on my head. This is one of the reasons why I deducted one star to my rating. Promptness In Delivery: Compared to the numerous items I have already bought from Amazon (based on history), this item came a bit late. This is worth a star -- deducted to my overall rating. Future Purchase: I wanna buy a silver, a white, a brown, and a beige (if there's any) of this hat one day.

This hat has it all. It is an absolute crowd pleaser. Lots of compliments and wantings to know from whence it came. It is beautifully made and beyond value for money. But HEED.....It is for amall heads. My equestrian hat is a perfect 6 3/4. This is on the small side for an adult, so make sure you measure your head properly with the circumfrance measured just above your ears and perfectly level. I found it a little smidge tighter than the stated 22" and had to unpick the inner padded lining at the back near the label, this loosened it slightly from the stiched rim edge and added an extra 3 mm equating to the 22" stated. Worked like a charm, phew. It may have been a sewing mishap, but either way, 22" is 22" with this hat. The hat design will NOT allow for stretch resizing other than removing the whole of the quilted padded lining which may end up equaling 23", but I would not guarantee it. It does state the size in the description so pay attention. This glorious comrade is a small beauty and if nothing else would look fantastic as decorative piece on a nice hat/coat stand or a wall hanging.XXX

A very nice hat - warm and looks great. I am actually looking forward to winter now that I have a hat that will protect me from the cold. The fit is about right and the seller detached the emblem so I can decide myself whether to fit it or not. The fitting instructions were clear and fitting will be easy. If anyone wants an attractive, warm winter hat at a reasonable price, this is the perfect answer. Although I realize that the hat emblem is based on the Russian KGB, it would be good to have an American alternative emblem to display. A shot of red and gold color at the front would be great without the 'stigma' of something that says 'Russian'. No one would ever mistake the origin of the hat, but an American emblem of some sort would make the item absolutely perfect.

Very comfy and perfect fit but the strings on the flaps do tear easily.

Very pleased with this purchase, the hat is as described, well made and fits perfectly. The quilted lining is much better than expected. Shipping was very quick. As stated in the product description, the badge was not attached. But I followed the sellers instructions, and had no difficulty attaching it on my own. The badge is light weight, but looks really good when fastened to the hat. When you open the flaps they extend to cover the back of your neck, adding to the warmth of this hat. I would buy from this seller again.

Love this hat! Looks great, fits great and feels super warm. Took a while to arrive - was worried it was lost. Contacted the seller for the tracking number and they responded very quickly. When it did arrive, it was worth the wait.
