I bought it per my son's bassoon teacher's instructions. It's what she uses to teach. My son does not like the music in it; he prefers the band pieces he learns from school. I've tried to explain to him that his teacher uses this book likely because the pieces teach the fundamentals

Has a nice fingering chart at the beginning for reference. Activities are well staged. I'm using this for self-teaching/review after not playing for many years and it's just what I needed.

Just as before

Very nice book with good exercises. I like the entire range of Rubank books for clarinet, sax, bassoon, and flute. This book, like a lot of bassoon books, has a fingering chart, but its over complicated looking and doesn't include flick key notations. I really like the pacing and the exercises though, overall good book.

Classic book from 1935-used the same books in high school fifty years ago-still very good!

Great basic student book

This is a good book that has lots of songs in it. My daughters music instructor says it is one she will use for the rest of her life.
