Monroe OESpectrum 5663 Suspension Shock Absorber for Chevrolet Cruze

Purchased on Amazon and got installed by my mechanic. They work great and as expected.

Easy to install, much smoother ride now. Old one were noisy. Once install and test drive let them adjust (so if you here minor noise briefly). Used Monroe quality in thr past after making the mistake of using Gabriel (crap, returned them). ::Update lasted 8 months and one started leaking. The squeaky noise every time hit speed bump or entry way never went away. Reached out to Monroe never heard from them. Amazon did issue refund, got another brand actually cheaper and no noise. Surprised they went bad been using Monroe for years never had issues.

Looks like is a well build shock absorber. I feel a lot better my car now. I hope it lasts twice than the oem. Chevy cruze 2011

What I wanted and fast delivery but mounting nut, included with shock, was deformed ( unusable ). Defect from the factory. Had to reuse the nut from the shock I took off ( not a recommended practice )

They look well made enough and worked on my 2012 cruze LS, but it did not come with instructions and if you are selling on Amazon to DIYers then they really should include some instructions. First time I installed it, didn't know the nut was supposed to go all the way down because the shock kept spinning after I tightened it and it was still loose with the mounting bracket, test drove my car and huge rattle noise from the shocks. Had to research how other people are doing it and you need an open end socket set while holding the top flat part with something else so the shock doesn't spin. Or use an impact wrench or airgun that can spin it real fast while holding it with a vice grip. Of course by the time I found out it was already midnight, I had to wake up at 7am to disassemble and reassemble everything and get the car fixed to go to work. All could have been avoided if they had some instructions in the package. Anyways do your research on what tools you need before you buy!

Great shock, reason for 3 stars is they don't come with dust boots and the factory ones don't want to fit on them because the top is of a larger diameter than stock. If you can live without the boots, then I recommend them. 2013 Chevrolet Cruze

Easy to install , however factory dust boot will not fit over the shock. Seems to improve the ride and handling.
