Loved it, bought it for my Greatgrandchildren.I bought Babushka for their Mother when she was their age, she’s thirty years old now!

My partner, my child and I all love this book. It is a true story of the authors experience of loosing her grandmother, finding a new grandmother and herself, lovingly wrapped into a new community. The art, and story are exceptional. Love in action is the theme. I highly recommend buying all of the authors books. After reading this one we have been getting all we can find. Each and every one brings you closer to loving all of humanity.

What a lovely story. I bought this book for myself because I love children's books. I also bought this book because I love Patricia Polacco's books, it has a nice storyline, and because we live in the Bay Area and it is nice to see Oakland depicted in a positive way.The nice thing about Patricia Polacco's books is that they appeal to not only children but adults as well. This book (and many of her others) was enjoyed by me, my mother AND my tween daughter; three generations! I have read these books to my daughter throughout her childhood, but she still enjoys them, even as a 12 year old!

I was introduced to this fabulous writer via a fb group dedicated to children’s literature and was blown away. This was my first purchase and I m lost for words to explain how sweet and emotional this story was. Perfect to teach compassion and live to our younger ones and teach them about loss of live as well. And that hope and love can change lives with patience. Nothing is an overnight success and we need such books to teach our younger generations. Looking forward to more books for my daughter of the same author.
