Great Laminator!
This laminator has been used virtually everyday since I got it. I use it on my little ones learning material and pretty much all of her art projects or anything that I want to see preserved for a long time to come. This laminator has come in handy so much. It takes around 5-6 minutes to fully heat up. It will let you know this by a loud audible beep, and the lights will stop flashing. It has the HeatGuard Technology that I love because I can leave this out on my table and not have to worry about my daughter touching it and burning her little fingers. It's only warm to the touch. I've also laminated around 60 5x7 recipe cards one after another and never noticed a difference in the lamination quality. It seems to be very consistent. This is not the fastest laminator as it laminates only about 12" of paper per minute, but this does not bother me. You can use any name brand of pouches that you wish. I find that great because I never know what I'm going to find for a good price. I have not had any problems with it jamming up on me but there is a release lever located in the back that you can push just in case this does happen. It also says it takes around 60-90 minutes to cool down, but I found it to cool down faster than that. This laminator also stores well. It is long but is fairly slender. Overall this is a great laminator. I would recommend this to teachers, small business offices, and at home for personal use. You can do so much with laminating. I"m finding every reason to use mine!

Great laminator for home use. Hot or cold laminates, up to a full sized sheet of paper. Flawless performance.
This laminator is perfect for the job I have at hand which is converting a house filled with knit/tat/crochet patterns/equipment instructions to a waterproof, reusable format. What I love about this laminator is that it does exactly what you want it to do with no additional bells and whistles to go wrong. it takes a few minutes to warm up for hot lamination but is super easy to use and produces a very professional looking product. I have yet to have a sheet come out with bubbles or ripples. While this may be too slow for a busy office, it is perfect for my uses and I can't imagine needing anything bigger than this for household use. I am a big Fellowes fan (have a Fellowes shredder that has been a real workhorse) and really admire a well built product that does what it is supposed to.

Works GREAT!
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a school teacher. Unpacked, turned it on, pressed the 3 mil button and waited 5 minutes for the 3 mil button to change from blinking green to solid green indicating it was warmed up. There was the normal HOT odor as it warmed up but it's not bothersome. The machine is very quite. I had to feel it for vibration to tell if it was running. Laminated a test piece of paper in a 3mil Fellows brand cover. I also supported the sheet as it exited to prevent curling as suggested by others. Not sure it was really required but a book of the appropriate thickness could be placed behind the machine if you don't want to support it by hand. It laminated the sheet perfectly with no wrinkles. 3mil seems plenty thick enough for all needs. I'm not expecting future problems because the thing is so easy to use.

love this laminator!
After reading the reviews I decided on this laminator and I am absolutely thrilled with it. I have used this for several projects since receiving. It heats up quickly, the laminating sheets (both fellowes brand and a generic) work great, and it seals the sheets without air bubbles or other issues. I went from paying $2 per laminate at the copy store to about $0.40 a laminate - makes a huge difference for a small business - on my last "order", this machine saved me $16. Some of the reviews complained that the actual laminating took "a while" - I did not find this to be the case. I think the speed is fine (within 10-15 minutes start to finish) the machine had heated up, I laminated what I needed, and was done. True to the product description, it stays cool to the touch and takes up hardly any space on my desk. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone.

Good product, but lacking instruction.
This wasn't packed in another box and was banged up in shipping. The laminator seems to work fine, though. Fellow Saturn didn't include a detailed instruction manual at all. Which would have come in handy to explain the difference between cold and hot lamination. I had a ticket from a museum exhibit I wanted to save and used hot lamination, which turned the ticket black! It would have been helpful to know the difference and what items couldn't be used with hot lamination. But, no explanation about anywhere. Still a good product and I would recommend it. Just be careful with that hot setting depending on what you're laminating

Works better than expected
I wasnt expecting this to be as good of a product that it actually is. It is plastic and lightweight, takes up no space, and is ready in a few short minutes after turn on. It has been used for long periods and with different thickness sheets. It works very well. It is also very simple to learn to use.

Fellows Saturn2 125 Laminator 12.5 inch
I had a former model of this laminator and loved it. My old one finally died and I ordered this one. The newer model is quite a bit wider than the old one. And I really miss the handle that was on the old one. However, as far as function goes, this is a beautiful machine. I do a lot of laminating at home and it heats up quickly and does as much work as I require of it. I haven't used the cold laminating function, but I like that it is an option. I find that running a curly edge through a second time will straighten it out.

Not worth saving a few $$ - buy the more expensive model
I have had this item for several months now. I have only used it a handful of times but already it has jammed twice and there is no way to release a jam. I had to take it apart to remove the last jammed paper. You need to watch closely when you are laminating with this product and make SURE the item is coming out the back side, if you don't see it start coming out the back, stop the machine, otherwise your item will be stuck inside the laminator with no way to get a hold of it to pull it out. I am not impressed at all. Sadly, our office has another Fellowes machine (higher more expensive model) and it has worked great for at least 2 years now. I would recommend spending the money on the more expensive upgraded product. This one is not worth it.
