TRANGIA Simmering Ring

Worked well with my Swedish military surplus Trangia stove.Great piece of gear to enhance the performance of my stove.

I needed a simmer ring for an off-brand cooker set I bought on Amazon that didn't come with one. I knew this Trangia would fit and was quality made because I have a Trangia burner as well. Don't be discouraged by the "add-on" status of this item. Simply click to buy it from other sellers. It was actually cheaper that way AND had free shipping. These simmer rings/snuffers may not have the little flip handle like the ALOCS or Esbits, but they're definitely well made with original Trangia durability. It's hard to find this part by itself and this was the cheapest I could find it anywhere. These are also handy to have even if you already have one with your alcohol burner because you can flip off the hot simmer ring and use your cool spare to snuff out the burner. I also love how these snap over the lid of your burner when storing so you don't lose it. This will fit the ALOCS & Esbit burners too.

It’s definitely worth the money. Easy to use and does the ticket.

I use my Trangia three or four times a week to cook dinner. Sometimes I will use the Trangia 27 or 25 others the Trangia triangle. The simmer ring gets a fair amount of abuse from the heat of the burner and is somewhat susceptible to being damaged. I like the ability to replace the individual components on a Trangia burner but think that the simmer ring is overpriced compared to the cost of a complete burner. The simmer ring is the only part other wear item other than the o- ring which is expensive to replace too. As a matter of fact all Trangia accessories are expensive but for my use the Trangia is pretty close to the perfect cooking solution and worth the expense.

Passt nicht über den Deckel des Trangia-Armee-Kochers. Passt aber auf den Brenner. Für den Transport ist natürlich schöner wenn man den Simmer-Ring auf den Deckel legen könnte (wie beim normalen Trangiakocher).
