This is for a 16 gallon not a 5 gallon. Advertised as a fluval spec filter. Didn’t realize there was moreThan one size of “Fluval Spec”. So had to ask for refund. Great customer service.

Does NOT FIT Fluval Spec 2.6 Gal/10L Tank
I purchased the size for "Evo/Spec" and the item description says it does fir the Spec (2.6 Gal), but it does not. It's too deep (front to back), too short (top to bottom), and too narrow (side to side). Not sure why this is marketed that way, but it will NOT fit into the foam block compartment for the FLUVAL SPEC 2.6 Gal/10L tank. From looks alone, the one sized "Evo/Spec/Flex" looks like it may fit, but now I'm not sure.

Perfect fit
This is a perfect replacement for the Evo 13.5 filter, maybe some other models too. It does improve the water to put a new filter medium in, it’s about two years since I replaced mine and you can see the difference.

Tight fit
This block seems much bigger than the one that came with my Fluval Spec. I really had to work to get it into the slot.
