Review: NO AUDIO OUT - Before I begin, I would like to say if this had audio out, it's the best budget projector on the planet. I know it's advertised as not having audo out, but under the Q&A, the very first question is asked, "Does this have audio out?" And the very first answer is, "Yes." Except it doesn't.... as every hidden answer below that one points this fact out. But no can see the hidden answers without additional clicks. This misleading, and flat out incorrect answer, should be deleted. Now, on to the projector. Very simple set-up, the picture is OUTSTANDING. No one but the truly discerning videophile can tell it's 720p and not 1080i. If you put the projector far enough back, the picture scales incredibly large (over 15-20feet wide) and loses none of it's bright, even, and sharp details. I was concerned the blacks wouldn't be black enough, but they're terrific. Light from other sources won't interfere from a great outdoor movie experience, and inside a dark room, any light leakage will have virtually no effect. Dark scenes are difficult to make out if you're using it in a lit room, but bright scenes maintain all their sharp details. Epson has a great calculator for every model regarding distance to the screen, and image size. I suggest using it when planning screen size and where to put the projector. The speaker is fine inside, but outside, in a larger area, you might need another solution. This is where an audio out jack would be great. The fan is not noticeable. The fan fires up when you turn the unit on, and runs quietly. During movies, you won't notice it. Very satisfied customer, but upset that a flat out wrong answer is provided on the first page of the Q&A regarding audio out.
Review: Great picture for a reasonable price! - The Epson Home Cinema 730HD was my second projector to purchase and it'll be the last one I need for some time. Initially I purchased a projector in the $100.00 range to combat my small children hitting my TV screen with toys, bats, and other small children. After receiving it I quickly realized I would spend a small fortune boarding up my windows to make my house dark enough and my entire family would be needing glasses in a week because we couldn't get the darn thing focused. So out of desperation, the need for natural lighting, and love of my 20/20 vision I got back on desertcart and ran across the Epson 730HD. At the price, I was still skeptical that I'd accepting a subpar image in exchange for the lack of a screen to pummel with rocks. I was wrong. Dead wrong. Immediately after unwrapping the package, I was happy to find a white projector that would blend in with my white ceiling. I pulled the projector out hooked up the power cord (about 10ft), then hooked my HDMI cable from my directv box. Next I pulled the remote out of the packaging and to my surprise I didn't have to rob another remote of batteries, it came with a complimentary set. As soon as I installed the batteries, I pressed the power button and after a start up screen and about 1-2 minutes of the lamp warming up... OH MY GERRD! In the middle of day, without my house fortified as if it was ready for a hurricane, there was a bright TV comparable image on my projector screen. After a few tweaks to the tilt and zoom features and a small slide on the focus control and I was projecting full 720 HD. For people that aren't needing crazy booming sound the speaker on the unit is plenty loud. If you are wanting a theater experience I'd recommend getting an HDMI sound splitter with an optical out for your surround sound system. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the unit has no audio out on the projector. With a variety of inputs, easy controls, and amazing quality picture; I give this unit 5 stars and promise you won't be disappointed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent projector for the price, great Performer
*by H***L on November 26, 2013*

Just a little background in my home theater experience I was always wanted to have Home Theater so I decided to buy at low cost projector if you want to spend money on projector sky is limit. When I bought Epson 725HD, I was not confident on bulb life and value on these concerns I will definitely update my review in future. When I placed the order Amazon Customer Service messed up and support was not great but after few calls it was resolved. I will give low rating to Amazon service but will not affect Projector review. I have used Dell, Benq, Optoma and Epson Projectors. Review: It is an good value and delivers a good theater experience in my living room.... Here's a brief outline of features and my impression of them: Resolution: The three biggest features most people look for when talking about projectors are resolution, contrast ratio, and lumens. The resolution of this projector is 720p 1280 x 800. This is little far from full HD, which is the majority of content I'll be viewing, but the picture is classic! I usually view the blu ray version of new movies and I stream HD all the time from different sources. In first week I always compared my HD laptop screen and Projector screen side by side when I watched Sports, Movies, Few TV seasons, Presentation and documentary. Although the picture was slightly better (Deep black, Blue shades) on the LED screen, nothing compares to watching on a big screen. The picture was very sharp and amazing. Contrast Ratio: 12,000:1 contrast ratio. A high-contrast projector produces a picture with a deep black level and clearly defined shadow detail. Contrast, in essence, gives "depth" to video images. A projector with excellent contrast can make a two-dimensional image appear almost three-dimensional.(Check Color Contrast ratio) Lumens: For me High lumens in a room is not needed unless there is light leakage. (e.g.windows). For watching movies If it is a dedicated room you should look for no more than 1200 Ansi lumens and I was not worried about lumens as its kills high contrast. Inputs/Outputs: As Epson gave me lot input option I used them left and right. I am using VGA, HDMI, USB and S-Video cable. Connecting both my PC and Mac were super easy. Settings and Keys: Now a days all projector are easy to use. Vertical Horizontal alignment keys are very easy to use. Almost all the features are same as Epson EX7220(more lumens) and cost higher than 725HD. Cons: 1.Power Input is in Vertical direction if you have placed on table it is little difficult. 2.Bulb life: Biggest concern was bulb life and it was stopping me from buying any projector. 3.Lamp Life on Epson website is wrong ECO mode: Up to 6000 hours Normal mode: Up to 5000 hours which is wrong. If you go thr' manual or other website it is: Up to 5,000 hours (ECO mode); up to 4,000 hours (normal mode). This Projector uses 200W UHE lamp which cost less to replace than other Epson Projector and competitors. 4.Fan Noise and Heat: No need of Heater in winter. It gets very hot. Bottom line: I use this projector mainly for Video streaming. It provides a stunning picture. If you are looking into setting up a home theater, take a serious look at this projector before considering spending much more money on an HD projector. I think you'll be satisfied.
