Culina Lorena 20 pcs Flatware for 4 18/10 Stainless Steel Silverware, Mirror Finish

The Capri flatware arrived in a very attractive box somewhat reminiscent of a large jewelry box, rather than a box for set of dinnerware . Every piece arrived in excellent condition, work with no nicks tomorrow or any of the pieces . The finish was astonishingly mirrorlike giving it a very rich appearance . The soup spoon was quite large compared to what I am normally used to. The dinner fork was also large . After examining the tines on the forks, they are bent up much more than an American Set would be, I believe these are probably a European design, since nationalities such as the Germans eat with the fork held in the left hand in an upside down position compared to an American style of holding the fork. The knife is always held in the right hand. This allows the diner to avoid setting down either of utensils while eating . Once one gets used to eating this way the meal becomes much more efficient . All the pieces have a good weight and balance . When paired with a nice set of dishes they make a very attractive presentation . I was so pleased with their work and construction , that I ordered another set the next day. I also ordered a set of microfiber wipes so that I would minimize any scratching that magnificent mirror finish .

I am not one of those who got these free or nearly free from Amazon! After a long search, I settled on this set, and I really really like them! My husband just said the same last night at dinner. I asked him what he liked about our new stainless, and he said, "I love the way they feel in my hand." I bought at the same time to compare a set of Oneida from another source, a pattern called Landon. I like these by Culina better. The Oneida, for one thing, are not 80/10 but 80/0. Too, they feel somehow heavier, more clumsy. They're pretty, and the design is so similar I can use the two sets together. But I think eventually I'll order more of this Lorena pattern. I just wish I could buy by the piece, as I don't need more salad forks or tablespoons. Chiefly teaspoons, knives, and forks. This is an excellent buy; I did much research and comparing brands and styles before I purchased them, and I am totally happy with them!

Just opened them. They are very attractive looking and much stronger than daily 18/0 quality. I will increase my rating to 5 stars if someone can logically tell me why my spoon heads are magnetic (like 18/0) and that there is either a benefit to this or no difference in quality to my older set of Oneida 18/10's which do not possess magnetic heads. I greatly appreciate the reviewer that posted a video showing us how to tell the difference between 18/10 and 18/0. However a magnet was used on on all parts of the flatware except both spoon heads. I do not plan on returning this item and I do recommend this product as it is less costly than other similar items (at this time) and they seem to be much better quality than your average daily flatware. SIZING: Teaspoons are perfect. Tablespoons as usual are quite LARGE and somewhat useless except for scooping ice cream. (Someone should make a set for 4 that includes 6 teaspoons and 2 tablespoons). Knife is great, Forks are both of useful size. Smaller fork appears to have a greater curve to it than my other sets but this is not a flaw, merely an observation..

I researched silverware heavily before putting on my wedding registry which ones we wanted. I came to these as my final registration and am so happy I put in the research. We have been using these for over a year now and still dont have a single complaint. Not one rust spot and still as shiny as they were the day we opened them.. I was afraid they may be too heavy, but I feel like they are the perfect weight. Now when I use my parents or a friends silverware, I feel like theirs is too light and dinky compared to what im used to. Great silverware. I was expecting something pricier for such good quality, but finally theres a such thing as affordable and quality! BUT DO NOT order around Christmas time or peak wedding season! They are normally 20$. On black Friday when I went to order a set for a friend, they raised to 80$!! Day after they dropped back to 40$ and stayed 40 until the day after christmas. When I ordered them originally for myself during the summer, they were 60$. This company knows when to push their prices. That irks me. If they cost more than 20, wait a little for the price to drop.

I bought this set because it had decent reviews, and people were saying they were durable. If there's one criteria I look for in cutlery, it's that they're durable and won't bend.The teaspoons feel fairly flimsy, and I could bend them with my hands. I would not use the teaspoons to scoop ice cream, or they will bend. Table spoons would probably be fine though. The tines on the forks were already slightly bent on one of the forks, and could be moved fairly easy with my fingers.The cutting portion of the knives were varying thicknesses in the set of 4....wtf?? Quality control is probably not very robust at the production facility. Anyways, 2 out of 4 knives are very flimsy in the sideways direction (not the cutting direction).This set will suffice as it was only ~$30. If you buy this expecting durable cutlery, prepare to be disappointed.

This is a great silverware set. I purchased 2 sets. We are kinda picky with the silverware we use in our home. It hurts our teeth to use cheaper metals and you can actually taste aluminum in cheaper sets and it ruins the flavor of your food. When I saw the price I was iffy on if the sets would be nice enough or not and let me tell you they are great! My whole family, a family of 5, is so happy with this set. No nasty aluminum taste, a modern style, and they feel so smooth and are weighted perfectly. I am so thrilled with my purchase, and they price was absolutely amazing for the sets we received. I highly recommend this set.
