Bible Puzzles, Quizzes & Brain Twisters: The Big Fun Variety Collection Paperback – Illustrated, January 1, 2013

I am so glad that I ordered this book of puzzles and quizzes based on the Bible. I enjoy the variety of puzzles that are presented as crosswords, lists to match, clever ways to identify scriptures (for example, a large group of words from which the player is to eliminate words based on several instructions until just the words in the scripture remain), find the differences between 2 side by side drawings (which are not always easy to find). Previously, the books I had found for Bible puzzles were either all word searches or crossword puzzles with such obscure answers (for example, names of descendants listed in the Old Testament) that I became frustrated in having to look up the answer to most clues. For the most part, I have been able to solve the puzzles based on my knowledge of having read the Bible for almost 30 years but I have learned some new facts. I plan to purchase more copies of the book as gifts. Even if you are not a Bible scholar, you will probably enjoy solving the puzzles and learning a lot while you have fun.

This has been super fun to do. Sometimes I have to ask my husband for the answers, or go look it up in Scripture. Every other "Bible" puzzle book I've ever seen is pretty lame, in KJV, with clues like "thee" or "the" This one really does test and improve your Bible knowledge

I got this for my mother for her birthday. She loves it! Instead of channel surfing in the evenings, she now can put down the remote control and do her puzzle book. I am so glad I chose this gift.

I bought this to use the puzzles in a lockdown newsletter for children who can't currently attend youth activities at our Church. I would say it is more suitable for older children or adults rather than primary age children though, due to the knowledge required for some of the quizzes.
