This is the only protein powder I buy. I never drink it plain, I always add PB2 and a frozen banana. No aftertaste and with ice cubes added to thicken, you'll think you're having chocolate peanut butter ice cream!

I drink my GNC smoothie for dinner, so I wanted to avoid the flavors with added caffeine. This chocolate flavor with pea protein is awful. No depth of chocolate flavor and a powdery texture. (I make it in my Magic Bullet.) However the whole container costs a bundle, so throwing it out was not an option. For my next purchase, I'm going to go ahead and get one with caffeine.I added a few things to the mix, and it's actually quite tasty and drinkable now! (Yeah, I'm adding calories, so sue me.)-Make it with 6-8 oz of milk (I use whole milk.)-Add scant teaspoon of cocoa powder (not hot chocolate mix, but unsweetened cocoa)-Add scant teaspoon of instant coffee (adds some caffeine, but short of amount in other GNC flavors)-Add teaspoon of White Chocolate coffee syrup-Add 1/2 of a banana (not frozen, but a piece of frozen banana would be good, too)-About 6-8 small ice cubes (by "small," about the size of a mini-marshmallow)Blend for a good long time-- 45 seconds or more. That helps with the "powdery" texture.

I am very disappointed in this shake. I’ve Bought the natural lean shake several times before and loved it. I assumed this was the same with a new name and package. It is not at all the same! It to me tastes horrible, and seems way thicker also than the previous natural lean shake. I waited too long to open and try it and cannot return. Wish they still made the natural lean shake!

If you’re looking for plant based meal replacement shakes, these are the best i’ve seen on the market. Really great for those lactose intolerant. There are other plant based brands, but these offer the lowest calories, carb, and sugar intake that I’ve researched. The flavor is a out of this world good but it is decent enough. My only con is that “green” is only offered in vanilla and chocolate, ao get creative with some PB2 powder or etc. GNC does carry the powder and liquid bottles in store, often you can grab a BOGO deal with a coupon.

It kinda tastes like chocolate. It's not for me. The aftertaste lingers as well. If you are looking for a truly chocolatey drink, look elsewhere. You can likely find a better flavor for a better price.

Shake used to be much thicker, tasted more like chocolate, and was satisfying to drink. The newer version is very watery with the suggested amount of water and tastes very chalky.
