Great little amp!
Good sounding amp for the price. Put this in my travel trailer running some 6.5 JBL GTO’s and a passive eq. Sound great and is very compact. Would recommend!

Compact, easy to install, very decent sound quality for the money!
PROS: small footprint, budget friendly, great soundCONS: despite some claims it still requires adequate air flow to remain coolThe application is to power an OEM dual coil 7" subwoofer pulled from another car and placed in the trunk of my daily driver sedan. I'm using and aftermarket head end with line-outs for the subwoofer function. I wasn't looking for anything too big as I needed my trunk space, small as it is but adequately insulated, and I didn't need to heard coming a mile away. Installation was a breeze. I did have to drill mounting holes under the deck but then it came together quickly. All connections are pretty straightforward (if you know, you know). I have the head end set to drive the mid-range door speakers directly (4 of them in standard stereo pairs) with a HPF of 83Hz and max 50W per channel. Lower frequencies makes the door metal panels rattle too much. The sub woofer stereo line outs is set with the LPF function to 120Hz and under. Nominal impedance of the dual coil sub is 2 ohms each wired separately for both of the amp's stereo outputs. The woofer along with amp are all in the trunk with enough insulation to prevent car body rattling. The final sound is better than I expected. Tuning wasn't very hard, a little work for the filter settings but the effort is rewarding and really pays off. You couldn't pay an installer to do better than you like to hear it. Despite some claims of being compact enough for fully enclosed installation, I would not recommend it. This unit can still get hot, especially in the summer time, and it needs ambient airflow for cooling. Would definitely need fans for tight spaces. I never got it hot enough to distort in my trunk but YMMV if you're seeking to put this under the seats or in the console.

Decent little amp for the price.
I bought the amp to power a boss CX8 8 inch sub woofer. I have a '93 f150 that has pretty good sound but doesn't handle bass well. I wanted to get a sub and draw some of that distorting current out of the other speakers.I have read other reviews that said this amp is not powerful enough to run a sub, and that is probably true on anything more than one CX8. That being said, it runs my CX8 really nicely, I bridged the two channels and it has enough power to bump but not anything too crazy. I'm not the type who likes to rattle windows and drive down the street looking like a douche, I prefer sound quality to overall volume and this setup does pretty well in both departments. The installation kit is pretty cheap, both in price and quality, but its still a good deal for the amount of copper you get. Just don't use the crappy little spades, and I'm thinking of getting better quality rca cables. The truck sounds really good now, the stock system doesn't get all fuzzy anymore when you turn the volume up, and the single cx8 is not so deafening that you can't even carry out a conversation.Basically if you are looking to get some better sound and spend under $100, then this is a smart buy. Obviously its not going to set off car alarms as you drive by.

Get something beter, don't waste your time on this.
Epic and total FAILURE!Point ONE!This amplifier is NOT the rated power they claim it is, not even half, you are lucky to get even 30w out of it, and that's pushing things, you might get that if you love distortion!I got this to try and replace a 30 year old Rockford Fosgate punch 150s that was staring to act up, BIG MISTAKE!Point TWO!Input filtering on this is horrendous! As soon as I hooked it up and turned it on, IN THE PLACE WHERE the RF amp was for years, I was hit immediately with horrible alternator noise, that changed frequency with engine speed.Needless to say you get what you pay for, and this amp is junk!I just spent the last few hours making minor repairs to the old RF 150s, and put it back in place, and all is fine again, and it's 3x louder than this thing. I should never have tried something like this, not worth it.

Can run at lower ohm fine.
Used this on door speakers. Running lower ohm but have not had any heat issue. Made the sound much better.

Takes away from head unit preset's
This amp does what it supposed to do however since there is only a level control on it...it takes away the stereos bass and treble...actually my stock stereo output sounds better than what this amp can provide...good price so I decided to keep it for maybe something else.

Solid Equipment - Does What It Should
Good for what it's designed for (2 channel 200 watt amp).Installed it in my 92 Chevy K1500. Just enough power for some upgrades dash speakers. And it's low profile enough to easily fit under the seats.High level input is nice so I didn't have to mess around with a LOC. I really just wanted more power while keeping the stock stereo for looks. This does that. Not a world beater, but for two speakers In a small truck, it's genuinely pretty great.

This baby takes a lot of punishment and keeps on going!
My grandson wanted bass for his birthday. This this amp did the job under a two ohm.Load. and he hasn't blown it up in two years now! It's still doing the job!

Better than expected.
Fifty quid Kenwood head unit, fifty quid Alpine speakers, fifty quid Boss amp. Combo punches well above its weight. Great for driving a pair of door speakers if you're not too demanding. I'm buying another to put in my van.

This amplifier is capable of excellent sound if.............
Item arrived on-time in excellent condition and works as described by seller if you take a couple of things into consideration. The 200 Watts spec is the combined ( 2 X 100W RMS ) power of both channels with 2 Ohm speakers. The true RMS power of each channel with a 4 Ohm load is 50 Watts per channel. The amp is specified for speakers between 2 -8 Ohms. With 8 Ohm speakers the RMS power of each channel is 25 Watts. The name " 200 Watt Amplifier " sounds big, just remember it depends on whether it's for each channel and the speakers used.If you want to run the amp at the 200 Watt max level into 2 Ohms load per channel you need a 12 Vdc power source with at least 17 Amps available. In a car, as long as you use appropriate gauge wires and in-line fuses, this max current is available from the car battery. If you want to use the amplifier at full power as a stereo inside your home make sure you get an appropriate BIG 12 Vdc @ min 20A power supply running off the 120 Vac line.Having said that, the distortion level of 0,01% and other specs are really very good. This amplifier is capable of excellent sound. Definitely would recommend it to anyone for various applications.
