Review: Excellent Clarity and Tonal Range - I purchased this center channel speaker to match the rest of my Polk RTI series. The vocal range is clear and crisp with excellent vocal range reproduction during movies and music. I have RTI A7 for the center stage and its tone is well matched. Would recommend about 120hz crossover if used with a subwoofer. Pros: -- Beautiful high quality cherry finish -- Excellent mid-bass/mid-range reproduction. It does an excellent job with female's voices ranging from Adele to Alicia Keys. -- Angle Adjustment bracket assists in tilting the speaker downwards when placed above the TV. -- Banana plug binding posts worked great! -- Can be driven at high wattage without it even sweating so a good strong amplifier/receiver is recommended. Cons: -- Tends to sound a bit bright until broken in. It needs about 8 hours' worth of playback for it to normalize. -- Requires good solid amplification to make it truly "sing". -- Large speaker requiring a deep shelf. I think the csi a6 is getting discontinued soon like the bookshelfs and towers did. In terms of spec at -3db the r-52c is 89hz to 21khz while the csi a6 is 55hz to 26khz. **Q: Does the color match the wood grain on the rti a7?** A: Yes. I boight the "cherry" rti a7's and the center speaker in 2013. All match exactly. Beautiful. I keep the black grill cloth on all. **Q: What are the exact dimensions. Would this fit in a 24w X 8h space?** A: Speaker is 8" tall (with foot pads), 24" wide, 14" deep. I custom built the opening for this speaker at 24 1/2" wide and 9" high so that I would have a little clearance--glad I did. Since the space for my CSi A6 is pretty much sealed up in the back, I also put some AcoustiStuff in the rear speaker ports to get rid of the "boomy" sound I was getting--this helped a bunch.Hope this helped! **Q: Does bi wiring make a noticable difference?** A: This speaker is extremely efficient. Bi-Wiring shall not help at all UNLESS you have very weak receiver. For example, in my system. I am running Polk RTI A7 for Front Left and Right, Left and Right Surrounds, then Polk RTI A3 for 4 ATMOS Speakers. With this setup, my calibration still run the center at -2.5 DBs. I have a heavy-duty equipment wall mount (obtained here at Amazon) that I used to mount it above my big screen. The top of the enclosure is slanted so you cannot put it under the screen and have the set sit on top. If you have a wall-mounted screen, it might be easier. I love the sound and the cherry veneer finish is beautiful I have a full set of matching Cherry Polks and they are furniture. Very handsome. (Be aware that Polk makes two kinds of speakers with a cherry finish. One is real veneer, which is what these are, the cheaper line uses a textured vinyl. The colors are nowhere close so if you care about matching, be sure to watch which ones you buy. The "cherry" subs tend to be vinyl!) The grill for this line is a joke though. Fortunately, I don't care to use them and store them in a closet.
