GPX Portable CD Boombox with AM/FM Radio, Stereo Speakers & Headphone Jack

I bought this to introduce cds to my 5 year old and give him something he could play around with that wasn’t overly expensive. The sound quality isn’t great but I didn’t expect it to be, but not horrible either. I was pleased that it will play burned cds without issue. For the price this is a great little boombox, easy to use and perfect for what I wanted. My son enjoys it very much. Highly recommend.

The sound is awesome! Easy to use . My husband was thrilled!

I like this item and consider it a real value based on the decent sound quality and reasonable price.

Works great!

I owned one just like this one for 6 years and it worked awesome. So when it finally crapped out, I bought this nearly identical unit to replace it. It sounds good and is easy to use, and its small size makes it very easily portable. Sadly though, after only several uses, the CD player has stopped working. It won't read any CDs I put in it anymore. Tried cleaning the lens like I regularly do on all my similar devices. No help. So unfortunately, only the radio works and I really don't care about that cuz what I really wanted it for was to play my extensive CD collection outside when I'm working outside. What a shame. I don't know what changed from my awesome one that worked for 6 years to this new one that crapped out after so few uses, but they definitely didn't repeat their previous achievement. Now I'm stuck having to buy another different one so I can play my CDs. I don't recommend this unless you really don't care about the CD player not working.

Thought I purchased a nice decent quality little cd boombox. It’s a good size. It has AM/FM radio and cd player. There is no dial setting for the radio, which makes it inconvenient when selecting a station. The sound quality is mediocre. The antenna is a flimsy wire cord type thing that hangs from the unit. I was disappointed with my purchase and gave it to someone who may use it. Thank you.

Great little CD player. Sounds is good.

It's true that the digital age is upon us, and CDs are not exactly as popular as they once were. However, some of us still have huge CD libraries. I have one of these CD players which is 3 years old and still running. So when another CD player I had broke, I ordered one of these without hesitation. PROS (1) Affordable. (2) Surprisingly attractive design. (3) Plays CDs very well. (Including burned from laptop CDs) (4) Surprisingly powerful for such a tiny machine. Don't ask ne how it fills such a large room. But it DOES! (5) Because it's small, it's easy to find a spot for. (6) Unlike some brands, there is plenty of room to get the cd in and out without having to play surgeon. CONS (1) Kind of a minor issue, but worth mentioning. When you open the bottom (to get the power cord out), you may find it's not so easy to snap the bottom back on. This obviously doesn't stop you from using the radio or CD player. But it is a strange con. FINAL ANALYSIS What's not to like? It's an affordable price; it has an attractive design; it's easy to find a place for; and it's surprisingly powerful. I can recommend this without reservation. BUY AND ENJOY!

I came across many negative reviews regarding the power and voltage. This is simply because people were being ignorant of the fact that this product comes from US and needs a step down converter to get it going in India. The seller contacted me twice on two different days to make sure that I was aware of it. Please please please don’t plug in this music system without a step down converter. It has 120V and hence you would need something which can withstand 150V and above capacity for a smoother performance. Mine works perfectly without any sort of disruption. Thank you for your fast delivery and at most care in letting me know and reminding me to buy a step down converter. Will be happy to shop with you again.
