Fluke Networks JackRapid JR-LEV-1 Termination Tool, For Leviton 41106, 41108, 5G108 Jacks

Used the fluke punch down for a while and then bumped into this tool and decided to give it a try. Been using this rapid jack tool for a bit now and it has been awesome, cuts termination times by a lot mainly on big projects where every minute counts. Like the fact that they offer tons of adapters for all kinds of different jack brands and types as well, the tool is very light and compact so it fits in my tool bag without taking insane space and you can take it apart to save even more space, only thing is that after a bit of use the joint gets a bit squeaky but nothing a little bit of lubricant won’t fix. Do recommend this tool for terminations if you’re looking for one.

Honestly if you have a flat stable surface, sufficient cable length, and a steady hand, a regular punch down tool is more efficient. However, if you have to terminate lines in the air due to a short cable, stand in an odd position, or need to be quiet, this tool is amazing. I recently needed to stand on a ladder to finish a modular patch panel with cables that had been cut by the previous company that moved out. A punch tool would have been a nightmare, but this made the job effortless. A fantastic option for any network tech.

If you ever tried to terminate RJ-45 jacks using the impact punch down tool, you probably stabbed yourself a few times like I have. This jack rapid tool is awesome and works great. It felt kind of light and I did have concerns on it working, but I've terminated a few jacks and it's awesome. Well worth the investment.

I was concerned that for the price that I was spending too much on a tool but after I receive this product I was very satisfied with how well it was made and how much time ago when I was terminating wall plate inserts. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is trying to cut down time on their terminations.

Works great. Not a smooth as I had hoped, but I think because it is brand new. time will tell.... For now it works with now problems. So far all terminations have been perfect without having to redo any.

Bought this tool because of the Fluke name. Figured they make good stuff so I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. It does speed up the process of terminating network jacks, but it also makes it a lot easier to terminate wires that are in hard to reach places. Jacks that are under tables or in built-in furniture. As an AV professional, we get these kinds of jacks all the time since we're usually working in finished spaces. The trim on the wires is really nice and clean. I've also used it on some no-name brand jacks from home stores when I needed to do a quick add to a system and didn't have my regular parts. I would think it would work with a number of different brand jacks, as long as they are relatively close to the size and dimensions of the Leviton QuickPort jacks. If you only have to punch down a couple jacks, probably not that big a savings. If you have to trim out an entire office suite, or home, You'll love it.

I absolutely love this tool! Before I got this tool I did it by hand, after doing that for a few terminals I broke down and got this tool, I wish i would have done it sooner. Not only does it crimp the wires on the end for you, it trims the extra wire off so it looks nice and clean, I also like how you can switch out the crimp for different end types which means you can do different ends if you need to. After using this tool I wish I would have bought it a lot sooner because I would have spent less time messing around with the crappy one that comes with the ends.

This makes punching down Leviton data jacks 41106 41108 5G108 a breeze. I have no idea why I didn't get this sooner, it is one of my favorite tools. You will still need your manual punch for example, when you can't get the JR-LEV-1 tool in a tight spot or your paid by the punch ;)

Will only work for expensive Leviton jacks, would be nice to have adaptor piece for standard jacks.
