Does NOT work for Centerlock to 6-bolt adapters
For some stupid reason, they put a bit of a taper on the teeth of this tool. This makes it completely useless for removing a 6 bolt to Centerlock disc brake adapter. Even better, the picture on this page clearly shows NO such taper is present. False advertising? You decide.

Doesn't fit Wheels Manufacturing bottom brackets
Update: This is the perfect tool for putting on centerlock disc lock rings (obviously the type that screw on to the outside, not the internally threaded variety for which you need the Shimano cassette lockring tool). So now that I have a use for this tool, I am raising my review from 3 to 5 stars.I'm sure this is a good tool. However it does not fit a Wheels Manufacturing BB86 bottom bracket, despite the seller's assertion in the question I asked. I had to buy a Park Tool BBT29. You can see in the pictures, this tool is slightly smaller than the 49.1 diameter of the Park Tool. It's frustrating that are so many similar bottom bracket standards, including a small 16-notch external cup, a large external 16-notch cup, and a slightly larger 16-notch cup. Also frustrating is the lack of dimensions listed in some tools and cups, so you pretty much have to guess, buy, and try to get a fit.

Awesome, premium BB tool. No, there's no cassette lockring.
Hands down just a completely amazing and awesome quality tool in every aspect. So my bike recently started to start squeaking a bit in the bottom bracket and of course that's completely unacceptable so I decided to do the maintenance myself and because I have SRAM GXP cups I had to get an external bottom bracket tool. The cheapest I saw the tool for was around 17.50 and actually the Lezyne one here looked like it was overall the best candidate for the job, it has a 3/8'' socket that allows me to use a torque wrench with it or an adjustable wrench. I went with the torque wrench. The process of using the tool was easy of course, there's not really many steps in order to remove and reinstall the bottom bracket. The thing with this tool was just how accurate and awesome it was at doing it's very specific job. The teeth were the perfect size, there was very little wiggle once it was on the cup and the socket was the perfect size so nothing felt off. The entire tool felt premium, it has a nice heft to it and a nice finish that makes it look extremely professional and for such a low cost, really, it was on the lowest price tier BB tools come in. Just an awesome tool. One word however, like everyone else here has said about the tool, this is the external bottom bracket tool only, not the cassette lockring + bottom bracket tool in one. However personal I prefer solo tools in order to use socket wrenches with them. The combination tool only allows for use with adjustable wrenches.I totally recommend this if you need a BB tool, it's premium and is better than a similar Pedro BB tool a friend had and I used.

Good tool with capabilities that the simpler ones don't have
This is a heavy-duty socket for those external-bearing cups. I believe this is a much better design than the thin-handled spanner types, or the kind that fit a socket drive only. Why? Because of the likelihood that you will encounter a stuck BB cup someday. The thin-handled spanner is going to kill your hand, and a socket wrench isn't all that long. Grab a longer adjustable wrench which engages the flats on this tool, and you're probably good to go. If it's really stuck (as one recently was for me) I could put the socket in my bench vise which will hold tight on the flats, and put the frame/cup assembly (in my case, a recumbent boom tube) into the socket and use the much larger leverage of the boom tube/frame to loosen the cup. Don't drop this on your foot!

Well constructed and works with Shimao MTB BB's
I already have a similar Park Tool BB socket for my road bike external BB, and need another one for MTB BB's. It's kind of annoying that I need so many different tools to work with bottom brackets (3 different kind of sockets, crank puller and Shimano cap tool. I am just happy that I haven't had the need to work with press fit bb's yet.

Functional
Nice, heavy, performed like my Park Tool BBT-19 (for Shimano, Sram, Truvativ outboard BBs). This specialized socket has ridges and depressions for holding it when hands might be greasy, unlike the Park BBT-19 which is just round. I don't know if that was the intention, but it works and it's a few bucks cheaper. I have probably used this type of BB tool more than the average home-maintenance bike enthusiast. For DIY wrenchers who don't care if tools are color coordinated and matched like their bikes, this fits the bill. You can spend the few saved dollars on something else, like some gels or several handfuls of bananas, an inner tube you've needed, a donation to your favorite charity etc. JMHO.

NICE
Fit my shimano road hollow tech bearings,Very helpful in starting the bearings. a Also feels good when tightening the bearings up by hand.Used it also on my mountain bike-the shimano bottom bracket came w/ a down-sizing adaptor.

it should be good for up to a 112 mm spindle
Unfortunately this tool isn't quite deep enough for some BBs. I tried it with a 118 mm spindle 68 mm shell square taper (internal bearing) BB and it was about 3mm short of full engagement of the splines. Given that, it should be good for up to a 112 mm spindle, or 117 mm if you had a 73 mm BB shell. And it should work with just about any external bearing BB since the notches on the cups are considerable further out than on an internal bearing BB, where they are at the edge of the BB shell. This tool has far more depth than the Park version, which likely wouldn't work with any internal bearing BB at all.

Valida alternativa a SHIMANO TL-FC33
Buon acquisto tutti!

Not suitable for brake rotor installation
Has a huge chamfer on the front, about equal to the thickness of Shimano rotor retaining ring. No way to get near the 40Nm needed. To get it to work had to grind off the front 3mm. Must be good for something, but not Shimano brake rotors.

Socket that slips
Being new to the Campagnolo family i thought i should tool up for any eventuality. This tool is for the Ultra-Torque bottom bracket cups and also fits the Campy disc brake rotor lock ring. The socket feels like it would last forever in typical Lezyne fashion but i found it difficult to use.It doesn't seem to grip onto the BB cups or rotor lock rings very well so when applying the correct torque it slips, annoyingly scratching the cups and rotors.I dont know if I'm doing something wrong but I don't think so.Thia doesn't seem as well thought out as most Lezyne products.

Mittelgutes Innenlager-Werkzeug

Good tool
Works well. Good fit. No slippage. I normally wrap plumbers mate ptfe tape over bb to aid grip and never have an issue with damaging the bb cups
