I was trying to find a good quality mattress at an affordable price
I'm in the process of redoing my kids' rooms. This is their "big" Christmas gift. I decided to go ahead and purchase new mattresses to go along with their new beds, bedding and decor. Go big or go home, right?I did a lot of searching. I was trying to find a good quality mattress at an affordable price. That's easier said than done which is why I was surprised to catch these on sale for $99! After reading through some of the reviews, I bit the bullet and purchased 4 of them. That's a big chunk of change to throw down at once. When they arrived, I was totally confused. Every mattress i've ever purchased (aside from my memory foam one), arrived exactly as it appeared in the photo (or in store), with a heavy layer of plastic. These were so totally different. I thought Amazon sent the wrong items until I opened the boxes. The mattresses are actually rolled up, similar to how memory foam mattresses are packaged, and shipped in a fairly small brown box. I was certain that they would be misshapen but they weren't. It's the weirdest thing i've seen in a long time.Once I removed the mattresses from the boxes and opened the plastic, they instantly started to puff up. I let them do their thing for 2 days, while I got the kids' rooms painted. By that time, they were super fluffy. I am very impressed with the quality. I'd expect to pay around $400 (each) for mattresses like this. I'm very impressed! If you're in the market for a new mattress, do yourself a favor and get this one. It's const effective and high quality. You can't go wrong!

Five stars for this mattress, Amazon and SleepShop
5 stars for the mattress and the seller SleepShop.I bought one Twin XL with fulfillment by Amazon a year ago, to add a real bed sleeping option to a vacation rental. It is also a home that we stayed in often ourselves last year. And while we have a very nice King bed, it's a bit tough with my aging sensitive back. I often found myself just crawling onto this soft bed halfway through the night. The delivery was quick as expected for a Prime item.We added a second vacation rental home this year, and we had some guests request separate beds, so I was back looking for two twin xl mattresses. When I first looked, this was sold out and not on Prime any more, and I looked and looked on Amazon and another site with fast delivery and couldn't find anything close to the price and reviews as this one. I didn't want a memory foam mattress. I've slept on this one, I know how comfortable it was.I called SleepShop directly because I was really concerned that I needed the mattresses ASAP. They confirmed they had two in stock, and they would ship from California to Arizona and get them to me well within the timeframe I needed. So I again ordered through Amazon's website but fulfilled by SleepShop this time. SleepShop followed up with me to make sure I knew how quickly the mattresses were coming. I'm so thankful to them. And so happy to have these two mattresses as an option for extra beds.Oh, and each time I got the highest recommended frame for quiet and strong support. Handy Living Wood Slat Bed Frame, Twin Extra Large. Which I bought with Prime. Thumbs up for this easy to assemble frame with this mattress.

A great deal on a soft (SOFT!) mattress.
I've been vaguely perusing the new class of Internet-Supplied Mattresses for a few years, noticing the low prices and delivery to my door without exorbitant fees and pushy salesmen. I've never thought lying awkwardly on a mattress for a few minutes in a store was terribly useful in making a decision, anyway. Recently, a toddler incident moved a new mattress from "might be nice" to "must have now," and we needed something very budget-friendly. I skimmed back through some reviews and decided on this Brentwood mattress - I admit I was swayed by the wool top. I am a known sucker for the magical properties of wool. The mattress arrived, as promised, in one heckuva heavy box, all rolled up and vacuum sealed. We opened the package carefully (no boxcutters here, thanks) and placed the new mattress on our old boxsprings. It didn't expand to its full height until the second night; I knew to anticipate this and told my husband to give it a little time when he remarked on the thinness. It *is* still a bit thinner than our old, non-pillowtop mattress, but not ridiculously so. It measures 10" as promised. So how's the quality? Honestly. I really like this mattress. I've gotten better sleep on it during the past week and a half than I've had in years. I am a side sleeper with joint problems and so a soft mattress is my friend. This is a soft mattress. Do not believe its claims otherwise. That doesn't mean it's unsupportive; both my husband and I are large people and we both get a great night's sleep on this thing. It seems to do a really good job keeping things in proper alignment without being pushy about it. I now wish retroactively that we'd bought it while I was pregnant and miserable last year and waking up in pain all through the night, but hindsight etc.The primary thing that's weird is when you're not lying on the mattress but sitting or getting in and out of bed, it feels uncannily like an air mattress. I think this is a combination of the softness (you sink a bit) and the lack of edge support. On our old mattress, and other coil mattresses I've had, the sides are stiff and don't move very much. This... not so much. The sides compress as much as the rest of it. It's a bit unsettling but I'm an edge sleeper and it hasn't affected my sleep, nor have I fallen off the bed, so it seems like the kind of thing we'll just need to get used to.I don't anticipate that this will be a 10-year mattress or anything, but I didn't expect that at this price point. I like that it's made in the USA, I *love* that it's shipped right to my door and that I don't have to wait around and have delivery people traipse all through my house, and I am thrilled that I could get a decent mattress for a decent price. If you're a back sleeper, it might not be a great option because of the softness, but for stomach and side sleepers it's pretty fantastic.
