very stable but had to repurchase for new stand
It’s a good, stable, and heavy stand that holds the Rode USB mic well. However, I ended up returning it because it needs to be positioned near the edge of the table, which takes up too much space and interferes with my keyboard. I couldn’t type and speak comfortably at the same time due to the space issue. I decided to go with the Rode DS2 stand instead, which offers more flexibility for my setup.

Solid and heavy - perfect for intended use
I use this for my radio broadcast mic. It’s sturdy and doesn’t move about. Excellent for what I needed.

Perfect Mic Stand For Rode PodMic USB
I searched for several hours to find the right mic stand for the Rode PodMic USB and I finally came across the Gravity MS T 01 B table top microphone stand. I hope you find this review helpful in your search. This is the perfect mic stand because it allows you to have both a higher and a lower height setting. Most of the other mic stands I researched have a hole in the middle of the base where they screw in the centre column that you then screw the mic into. The genius of this mic stand is that instead of having a hole in the middle of the base, the base has a threaded screw that sticks UP and therefore the PodMic USB can mount directly onto it without using the centre column extension. This is the single piece of design brilliance that makes the Gravity mic stand so useful. It means I can mount the 6 inch centre column onto the base to make the mic higher or I can simply screw the Rode PodMic USB directly onto the threaded screw on the base to make the mic much lower. At the higher setting, the mic is about 11 inches high. At the lower setting, the mic is about 5 or 6 inches, which is perfect for my desk setup but allows me to always have the option of 2 height settings when I take the mic with me to other places. The base is metal and very solid. The base has a rubber ring that goes all the way around the base and is perfect for reducing sounds through the desk and for preventing the mic from being accidentally moved. You will always get sounds transferred through the desk to the mic, such as typing on a keyboard, but the circular rubber ring does help to reduce the noise and you can always put a layer of foam or a towel underneath the mic if need be. I use the mic for video calls and not podcasting, so I don't need to worry too much about desk noise. Gravity deserve a lot of credit for simply adding onto the base a threaded column that points UP instead of having a hole. If you have a Rode PodMic USB....... buy this mic stand! Gravity = genius.

Perfect for the job
I recently bought a Rode PodMic and was going to use my existing full-size Gravity mic stand and boom, but then I saw Mr Magic's review on this little gem and was completely sold. Really hefty base, which is needed for a really hefty mic. perfect for the job!

Solid, but poor manufacturing tolerance
I bought two of these. One of them wouldn't sit level on the desk because the rubber ring was all lumpy and on the other the tube wasn't perfectly vertical because the screw in the base was poorly aligned. Solid stands but I'll be returning them.
